After the update when shockbolt tiles took over I didn't know what to think.  I was so used to the mushroom tiles.  After playing a bit, I came to like them quite a bit.

After seeing what you did with ToME2 and then leaving the roguelike scene in a way; I never would of imagined a game like this coming out.  You have some real talent there.  Keep up the good work.

How close are you to version 1.0?  Not that I am in a rush to see the final version, but I am more curious as to how much more you want to add.  As in classes, races, and whatnot.

In game it shows my profile as Karzack, but on the site it just uses the name I use to login.  I was under the assumption that once this was up and going that when I logged in I would use my login name, but it would show up as profile name, Karzack.

Not really that big of a deal, but I was just curious about this.

You've come a long way in one year.  I am pretty amazed with what you have done with TOME.

How much more is there to add?  Do you see coming out of beta in the near future, or is there just as much to add as you have already?

Traditional Roguelikes (Turn Based) / Through 1.0

Stumbled upon this browsing reddit.

From the Website.

Through is a Roguelike: a turn-based single-player RPG with randomly generated dungeons. My goal for this project was to create a polished, 2D roguelike inspired primarily by Shiren the Wanderer and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. Attempt to get through the dungeon alive. It's not easy.

I would suggest to put a copy of the FAQ in the download.

As for the flickering.  It makes it unplayable for me.  It hurts my eyes within a few minutes of playing.  I'm just a player though so I have no clue how one would fix it.

Other than that; it looks interesting.

I'm liking this one.  I never played the original Larn or ULarn

I'm not much for time limits though.  How tight is the limit?  I know that this is part of the difficulty and it keeps the player moving.  I think I can deal with it though.  Pretty fun game so far.

An NiS roguelike?  This could be good.

I like this.  I tried it out solo and then my son and I played it a bit.

For some reason, it reminds me of Wizard of Wor.  At the time I used to play this game, it was one of my favorite games.

Keep it up man, keep it up.  You're like a machine.  lol.

I am quite impressed with what you have done with TOME.  TOME 2 stands as probably my favorite roguelike.  If you can do with 4 as much as you did with 2, 4 will probably take that spot.  Whatever that encompasses I'm not sure.  :)

I swear I'm going to try this someday.  I just never get around to it.

Nice to see an update.

Sounds interesting.  Too bad I use Windows...   :-\  But, it's still in Alpha.  :)

No class and no level. The character is stats and skills based.
This is the feature that stands out the most to me.  I love skill based systems.  Too bad this isn't more popular in roguelikes or RPGs in general.

Patience is what this game is about and keep focused, each encounter needs to be analysed before a decision is made.  Unfortunately I usually make that decision after I have tried hacking it apart :)
Yeah, my play sessions usually go like so:
ATTAAAACK! You died. Damn, I should remember not to do that again.
ATTAAAACK! You died. I should remember not to do that either.
ATTAAAACK! You died. Oh, wait.... I wasn't supposed to do that.

This is me on pretty much every roguelike I've ever played.  I get going good and get too cocky.  Then something shows me how weak I really am.

Seeing this, makes me think (more want) of a Might and Magic or Wizardry type roguelike.

I agree that Darkhall could use this.

Well, that was unexpected...

Awesome, just awesome.   8)
