What do you do for a living?

Ok, so I doubt any of you is a fulltime roguedev/player... what else occupies you?

Me, I am a java software developer, I work fulltime on boring stuff such as dynamic websites, business simulations, enterprise systems, etc. I wish I could just leave all this and begin my indie gaming studio

I left university some time ago, been doing this since before graduation though...

I'm currently finishing my 2nd year Computer Science exam season. It sucks, big, big time.

I really like it, but it consumes all of my time, which is a bummer. I have plenty of projects I'd like to get on with, namely, roguelike development (of course).

Aside from that, I'm currently a (lowly) member of the Order of Chivalry of Sacred Portugal. We re-enact as historically accurately as possible an Order of Chivalry from centuries XII to XV, plus a few other epochs. I took a one-year blacksmithing course at HCT's Rural Crafts Center in the UK before entering university, and as soon as I get some decent time on my hands, it is my plan to set up a forge and start smithing! Hopefully Portugal will have an infrastructure such as BABA and ABANA in the future.

Oh, and I also recently got interesting in iron smelting through the bloomery process, so it's also in my plans!

I blame university for not being able to practice any of the things I've mentioned above at a decent rate anymore.

I'm a computer programmer.  I work on a piece of CAD design software used in the woodworking industry.  I'm also currently pursuing an MBA degree, which isn't leaving me as much time to pursue other things as I would like.  I would like to go into project management or some sort of tech-related business position when I graduate.

I'm unemployed animator, currently working as computer assistant (creating word, excel and power point documents which I don't want to call work, but I guess it is..)

heh as far as work goes my only contact with computers is setting up peoples internet. Im a cable guy so while you guys are playing with the internet at work im making the internet work at peoples houses.

I work for a Christian non-profit gathering donations, setting caseloads, distributing, and oh yes, web stuff!

However, I'm going back to school in the fall of 08 for my Master of Divinity degree.

And on the side, I play with Java, and rogue, or some other various minor programs.   A leftover from my days in college as an EE CS dude.

Occasionally I try and get a couple of hours sleep a day. Maybe pull a couple of vegetables from the garden.

I'm a cinema student, majoring in sound design. At the moment I'm working a couple of days a week on the sound effects of a weekly Finnish animation.

I'm in my final year doing Geography at university (still don't know what I'm doing when I leave though  ), and in my spare time I play games, and I also make music and stuff (in a variety of genres, it'll all be on my website once I finish it). As well as solo stuff I play in a couple metal bands too, I play guitar in one and keyboard in the other.

Mostly fulltime student, but I do some tutoring on the side.  During the summer I work as the webmaster/general computer guy for a small company.

Mainly student, although I also work at the university as a scholar (don't know if this is the proper translation) with some fairly irrelevant work.

Not exactly "for a living", but I usually go jogging or whatever is called two days a week. One's got to do some exercise, or else I'd be sitting like 28 hours a day .

When I have some spare time (lol) I like doing pen and paper RPG adventures with my friends, and playing roguelike or Wii games, and sometimes I like to take my motorcycle and ride away.
