Book of Rogue [7DRL 2017][SUCCESS]

Book of Rogue is a roguelike mud hybrid. Most of day 5 went to fix an obscure unity corruption error that had me reinstall unity entirely from scratch to fix it. Hopefully day 6 will be a better day for development!

I really like the aesthetics, your tiles, and the flowery prose.

Is the flowery prose what makes it a mud hybrid / visual novel, or are you doing something else?

Thank you! The descriptions of where you are, and the game being divided structurally into rooms so definitely, is the main MUD-heritage of the game yes. I had planned other features, like the ability to move between rooms with a single key-press rather than only the single-tile option of roguelikes. Day 5 and 6 has been pretty much seen no development though, so hopefully I can clog in enough hours today and tomorrow morning to call it a success.

Finished somewhat successfully... close enough to call it a win. Lost about 3 days during the week, so had to make big compromises. Will work on packaging up the game for the different platforms next.

I get some funky artifacting when trying to run this one. All of the letters in the intro and menu appear as bright purple blocks.

I'm on windows xp sp3 with opengl 1.4.

I assume it must have to do with my hardware.

Do you know if your hardware support DX9? That's the minimum spec of Unity3D. It does sound like you're struggling with the text shader or something like that.
