ASCII Quest...alive again
« on: March 31, 2010, 11:35:39 PM »
http://asciiquest.jadevaultgames.com/

Via Twitter, the project is back at full speed and some classes were listed out, hard to say if they mean for this to be all or not, but still:  Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Wizard

Nothing in the way of timeframe yet though...my best guess is things might become more visible once the website is updated to reflect the essence of the Tweets.

Good stuff.  Hopefully he'll shed some light on the new projected release date.

Yet more:

Quote
The end is finally in sight. If you have an XNA |
+-------------+   Creators Club Premium membership, you will see  |
              |   a preview build of ASCII Quest uploaded to      |
              |   playtest by Sunday, April 25.                   |
              |                                                   |
              |   No, really. I'm serious this time. I'm going to |
              |   stick to this deadline.                         |
              |                                                   |
              |   If you don't have an XNA Premium membership,    |
              |   unfortunately you're going to have to wait a    |
              |   bit longer. I do have an interview set up with  |
              |   a review blog, though, and I'll be sending him  |
              |   the preview build of ASCII Quest, so you can    |
              |   find details about the game when that goes up.  |
              |   I'll post again here when that article goes     |
              |   online.                                         |
              |                                                   |
              |   One question still remains unanswered: When is  |
              |   ASCII Quest going to be released? Rather than   |
              |   disappoint everyone with yet another missed     |
              |   release date, for now I'll just say, "It'll be  |
              |   done when it's done." A good, polished game     |
              |   takes time, and after my burnout sessions late  |
              |   last year, ASCII Quest has taken much more time |
              |   than I expected.                                |
              |                                                   |
              |   But as I said, the end is definitely in sight.  |
              |   Stay in touch; your patience will be rewarded   |
              |   soon enough.

http://asciiquest.jadevaultgames.com/screenshots.php  New screenshots, which also seem to confirm an overworld, multiple towns, dungeons, choices upon level ups, and more.

Also, via twitter, ANSI doings are supported now apparently.
