Touhou Jigoku ~Dream in Dreary Dark~

A dark miasma has descended upon the fairytale land of Gensokyo, thrusting all of its inhabitants into a dream with an endless cycle where death is no escape.  Demons, fairies, vampires and youkai alike are losing their sanity and abandoning spell card rules to freely prey upon susceptible humans.  Only you can shatter the illusion and restore balance by waking Gensokyo from this endless slumber.

Planned Features
  • Open World
Explore all Gensokyo, from the Hakurei Shrine in the east to the Youkai Mountain in the west, and everything in between, below, and above..
  • Character Based
Play as any character in Gensokyo, Reimu, Marisa, Alice, and more!  Each character has their starting equipment, stats, and unique shot types and spellcards.  Everyone has their own home scattered throughout Gensokyo where you start, levelup, rest and plan out your excursions.
  • Factions
Under the eternal sleep the balance of Gensokyo has collapsed and the various factions are pitted against each other.  Factions vary by starting character and their surroundings, and standing is influenced by action.  Befriend factions and gain access to trade goods, services, or artifacts.  Or attack them to steal their treasure.

Current Features
  • 3 Characters (Reimu, Marisa, Alice)
  • Various equipment, trinkets, and consumables
  • 4 Locations
  • Individual shot type per character (Homing Amulets, Lasers, Dolls)
  • Differences between species (Humans need sustenance, youkai don't etc...)
  • Stats and levels

The game is fairly barebones at the minute as it's largely a rewrite of a roguelike of the same vein that I started a few years ago.  It's playable but its pretty short and lacks direction, and my current plans are to flesh out the current existing faction and to add more dungeons and quests before branching out to other locations around Gensokyo.  Since there isn't too much right now to do in game I just wanted to get the word out :)

Hey, ScarletDevil. I downloaded the game and started playing, and I just want to say that I like what I see so far, and that I want to encourage you to keep at it. I also forked the code on github, though that's mostly just so I can have an easy way to follow along with your progress.

Looks good, man! :D
