Hello world open
« on: April 16, 2014, 06:51:14 AM »
There's currently AI racing competition going on at: https://helloworldopen.com/ (still 6 days left to sign up). Is anyone else here participating it? I'm participating as a team #19 (https://helloworldopen.com/team/19). There has been some hiccups with the infrastructure, but otherwise the start has been smooth. I'm writing my bot with lisp (Hy to be specific) as an exercise.

It looks like a boring task for AI. Why not something harder?

There's still time to sign up. Maybe you could show us how to do it properly  :P C/C++ is supported.

The task is pretty simple on surface, but complex enough that it's not easy. And since we're competing against other people, doing pretty well isn't enough to win.

LOL, you really deliver sometimes. Looking at the team list it might be one of the tougher programming competitions.

A was pestering a colleague to join so we could see who writes the better AI. On a hindsight I probably chose a wrong opponent, as he later told me that he was one of the programmers of Rally Trophy and have consistently been kicking my rear since the start..
