About
Return to the Dungeons of Doom (RttDoD) is a free graphical roguelike game.  This is my modernization of the original Rogue.  Those of you already familiar with Rogue will have a distinct advantage going into RttDoD.  I think those not familiar with roguelikes will find RttDoD a good introduction to the genre.

-RttDoD has over 70 items and 26 different creatures.   Every level is randomly generated and filled with random items, creatures, and traps.

-RttDoD is turn based.  It also features permadeath.  There is no concept of lives.  Once you die you have to start over.

-RttDoD can be played with either the mouse, keyboard, or some combination of both. The keyboard commands can all be changed in game on the Options screen.

Objectives
Find the Amulet of Yendor around the 26th level of the dungeon.  The higher the amount of gold you have, the higher your final score will be.  If you ignore the amulet you can continue going deeper to find more gold.  The amulet will keep spawning until you pick it up or die.

What is RttDoD?
RttDoD is randomly generated turn based dungeon crawler.  You must explore the depths of the dungeon looking for the Amulet of Yendor.  Along the way you will have have to collect items to help you defeat the denizens of the dungeon.

How much does it cost?
The game is free, as in beer.  Get it on the download page.

What platform is it on?
RttDoD is currently available for Windows and Linux.

Did you steal the graphics from RotMG, Hack Slash Loot, etc?
No.  All sprites are available for use in freeware games.  The creators of the sprites in RttDoD also made sprites for a number of other games.  See the credits page for links.

The graphics are too small, can I make them larger?
Yes you can.  In the Screen Options screen you can toggle the games resolution from 640x480 to 1280x960.

Is there anyway to speed up the game play?
Yes.  Run the game with a command line argument that is a number.  The game will use this as the max FPS that it will try to run at.  I recommend 120-180.  This feature isn't fool proof.  You may have funny results with extreme numbers.

Is there a way to fast travel through those terrible hallways?
Yes.  The Auto Explore button is "e" by default, you can also use the middle mouse button.  Push it when in a hallway and you will travel to the next intersection or door.

What happened to my level after I loaded the game?
The game only saves your characters information if you decide to quit.  You will have to explore the entire floor again to find the new exit.

Looks quite promising--one wonders what the future of development for it holds from here.   8)

This looks really awesome! I gave it a try, but just one problem. Fullscreen please!? Pretty please with a Legend on top!?!?
