About the Game
Full Mojo Rampage is a rogue-like game that takes place within the confines of the Voodoo reality. In this realm only the most powerful rites and powers can provide a safeguard against evil. Dying is not the end, only the beginning to becoming a stronger voodoo soul!

The game includes several multiplayer cooperative and competitive modes to play with friends.
Key Features

Randomly-generated items and levels in beautiful 3D. Not two playthroughs will be the same.

Improve your character by leveling up and buying voodoo pins that you can use and upgrade to receive special bonuses.

Online Co-op: Up to 4 players can play together each campaign.

Multiplayer VS modes: Play online with up to 8 players in fiersome battles. (Current modes available: deathmatch, team deathmatch, Capture the Flag, King of Mojo). Level up and customize your character to show your friends who is the best!

Tons of items and unlockables: masks, pins, mojos and power-ups.

Unique “class” system that revolves around choosing a voodoo god each with their own special powers and attributes.

The Quests

When you start a new game you can select which quest you want to do. Each quest has a different story, goal and setting. The quest map and each individual level is randomly generated, so you can replay the game and be challenged each time. In the current version, there is only one quest available: Baron Samedi opened some portals by mistake (he was a bit drunk!) and needs your help to close them again.

Each quest will have a different set of achievements with unique rewards (new masks, gold, medals). These are not working in the current version, but will be in the next weeks.

Customizing Your Character

After choosing a quest you will be able to customize your character.

In this screen you can choose a mask, a parent god and the voodoo pins you want to carry.

Each god has a set of spells that define how you play the game. There are currently only three unlocked gods. Expect new gods and more deep mechanics in the future.

Voodoo Pins are very important. They provide unique bonuses that will help you in the game. At the beginning you wont have any pins unlocked, but by playing the game you will gain gold that you can use you purchase and upgrade these pins. The number of pins you can choose will also increase with levels e.g. 1 pin at level 1, 2 pins at level 3 and 3 pins at level 5.

In this menu you can also level up your character once you have enough experience. Experience is gained by exploring, progressing through the levels and doing challenges.

The Dungeon Map

The dungeon map is randomly generated. The icons represent cemeteries, swamps, bosses, challenges, vendors and shrines.

There are many challenges that are quite fun and have some surprises, so make sure to visit all the "?" icons as those are special events for your current game.

Gameplay

Each level is randomly generated with enemies and secrets. Levels are filled with equals parts of action and exploration.

Some levels have doors to vendors and god shrines.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I pre-order today, what do I get?
Your pre-order will get you access to the alpha today and a copy of the game when it’s finished. We will provide a DRM free option. Once the game gets onto Steam, you’ll get a Steam key too!
Also, everyone who pre-orders will get access to a private forum where we will be posting questions and polls to ask you about your opinion on features and how can we improve the gameplay experience.

Which platforms does the game support?
The game is being created for PC/Windows. Ports to other platforms might be possible if we get enough pre-orders.

What can you tell me about the soundtrack? When will it be available?
The soundtrack is currently being composed by the awesome Alistair Lindsay (Rare, Frontier, Introversion). We will release the first tracks in the next weeks and make updates to your pre-order when we have new tracks.

What are the system requirements for the game?
There are preliminary system requirements. A Windows PC with XP, Windows 7 or 8. Dual Core 2.0 GHz or equivalent, NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GT or better, ATI Radeon™ HD 3850 or better.

What are the requirements for online modes?
You will need a Steam account to play online.

Why are you releasing the game in alpha?
We are an indie studio of 5 game developers and we are financing Full Mojo Rampage with our own money. Releasing in alpha lets us keep doing what we love the most: creating games. Without the pre-orders we wouldn’t be able to add all the content and game modes that we want. We also want to create a game being able to discuss the gameplay with the community. We will be keeping an eye on the forums, Twitter and Facebook.

What can I expect from the first alpha?
This first alpha has the first quest in the game. Quest are small stories with specific gameplay objectives. In the first one you have to help Baron Samedi to close some portals that he opened by mistake (he sometimes drinks too much). We have the basic character customization in place, as well as spells. These areas will have several changes in the future, but first we want to get feedback from the players.

What can I expect from future alphas?
We want to improve the character evolution and differentiate more the gameplay for each of the character “classes”. Depending on which voodoo god you have unlocked and selected we want to have a bigger set of powerful spells and specific game mechanics. Baron Samedi will reward you sometimes by spawning besides you, Maddam Brigitte will give buffs when you kill enough enemies, Erzulie will… more info in the future ;)

How does naming your Voodoo doll and the custom Voodoo doll work?If you pre-order the Voodoo Summoner tier, you can send us your name or nickname and we will add it to the set of random dolls that appear in the game. These dolls also have a description, so you will be able to provide a few lines telling something cool about yourself.
The Voodoo Master tier is similar, but each time your doll appears in the game it will have a unique visual style created for you. We will email you to ask you about the colors and style you like. You can give us a specific direction  and our artists will follow that. Want your doll to have jeans and glasses? a mustache? a mullet?

Below is an example of how they appear in the game. The doll properties are randomly calculated.

How many gods will be in the game?
The plan is to have at least 5 initial gods with unique spells. Once these gods are done or if we get enough pre-orders we want to create extra ones with more unique gameplay. We have a list of  20 of them!

What are the pins that I see in the menu?
When you configure your character you can select which pins you want to have. Pins can be unlocked with gold and provide small benefits to your character. Right now you can only choose only 2 from a set of 8, but in the future your character will evolve and allow for more of these pins to be used in a game. Some pins will be more useful for multiplayer vs modes and some for single player or coop quests.

Who is the best voodoo god?
Baron Samedi, he is a bad-ass.

Quote
This first alpha includes:

- First quest of the game. In this one you have to help the powerful voodoo loa Baron Samedi to close portals that he opened by mistake when he was drunk.

- Initial character customization. Progression will improve in the next alphas.

- Gods / Loas and spells: each loa has a set of spells that you can unlock by playing the game. There are initially three loas you can choose. The others will be unlocked in next alphas.

- There are some placeholders for things like achievements, gods, pins.

Everyone who pre-orders the game can access the private area of our forum. This is currently done by hand by the admins of the forum. Expect a bit of delay for that.

This is a huge step for the team so we hope you play the game and find it enjoyable.
Your feedback is very important!

See you in the game!

Seems promising and the team poised to make it all happen, TotalBiscuit also did an early look Alpha Strike on it today:

Its been a long time without many updates, but we finally finished the new alpha. This one has a lot of tweaks, a lot of improvements. We think you will enjoy it  :)

Some of the things that are new:

- A full new quest with 5 different objectives. This one is unlocked when you finish the first.
- New mojos and voodoo wands.
- New pins (block chance, extra life and others)!
- Two new bosses. Quite hard in our opinion!
- Translations support. Stay tuned for info on how you can help us with this.
- A new secret mask.

Some things that are tweaked:

- Difficulty and balancing. We have heard your feedback and have done some tweaks. Adding a second quest added extra balancing difficulties.
- Quest 1 has been modified. Its now a bit shorter. We thought that 4 levels of portal destroying was enough!
- Health and damage of enemies have been tweaked.
- We have corrected plenty or minor bugs that you helped us find. Thank you and please keep giving feedback.

We recommend to delete the savegame that is in your "Documents/Over the Top Games/Full Mojo Rampage" folder. Otherwise the balancing and the pace of the game might not be correct.

We are planning the new content right now and I promise it won't take sooo long for the next one! we are a small team so sometimes it takes a lot more of time than we thought.

This new update features a new game mode to celebrate Halloween:

- Survival: this new game mode lets us create a new type of challenge. You should have a new Quest card titled "Night of the Dead Spirits". In this 'side quest' you have to survive for a specific amount of hordes. Hordes are harder and harder. If you manage to finish, you will receive a nice reward to celebrate Halloween

Warning Note: The masochist mode of the survival challenge is very hard. So hard, we haven't managed to pass Horde 10. If you do it, please post a screenshot or we won't believe you!

- Steam Trading Cards available.

- Steam Cloud support.

- We added a new "work in progress" music composed by Alistair Lindsay. Its not final, but we like it a lot. You can hear it as the background music of the new survival mode.
If you like our music, please check out Prison Architect as we share the same amazing composer

The wait is over! Alpha 4 is no more, Long live Alpha 5!

Pfew! this was a long update, but its already uploaded and ready for you to try!

We have been working on a new quest called “A Dangerous Dream” and at the same time we have tweaked a bit here and a bit there!

After waking up from a rough dream involving a big snake, our voodoo keeper goes in the quest to find the shrine of Damballah, a primordial loa, creator of all life.“

In the new quest, once you find Damballah’s shrine, you have two options: face the boss, the “Great Uru” right away, or go for his acolytes to reduce his power. We are curious if anyone manages to defeat the boss without the need of doing the side quests. Let us know how this goes!

When you try this new build, you will notice a few changes to the loa classes and spells. Now all loas have a different passive that gives us a different way of playing each class. We heared a lot of confusion about the use of the “mojo bar” so we have revamped that to make it easier to understand and more fun to play. Spells don’t have any “mojo” cost and can be casted if your cooldowns are good. Let me try and enumerate all the changes in this build:

- Big changes in the use of the “mojo” and spells. Previously each spell could be casted by spending some “mojo”. Based on feedback we changed this “mojo” to a “rampage bar” that can be filled to obtain extra advantages and each loa will handle this rampage in a different way… for example, there is a new loa class that works as a “support type” that will greatly improve odds of finding better items, more heals and more gold if the rampage bar is completely filled. With this change, we can add more variety to the gameplay with each loa.

- Difficulty and enemies. Enemies can now spawn with “special properties” and are easily recognizable with colors. This elite enemies will improve the variety and randomness of the game. Blue enemies have a high amount of blocking chance, green ones create a poison cloud on dead, red ones have an aura of fire and yellow ones are faster and have a high probability of doing critical damage. All of these enemies have higher health than standard enemies.

- New library screen to keep track of all the mojos you can found. This will grow in the next month to include all the mojos and voodoo dolls we add in the game. This new menu might be a good place to add general statistics, achievements and unlock progress.

- New shrine pacts added and the old ones were revamped. With this, we made entering in shrines a lot more interesting, as the rewards can be very good. Give us feedback!

- Lots of new sounds and music! thanks to Alistair Lindsay for this!

- Button to delete your savegame from the Options screen.

- Some new loa classes. Some of these (Lenglensou and Loko) are quite good for multiplayer! We have also changed the way of unlocking gods.

- Many new mojos: homing missiles, auras, wands, fixed the “skull of the tram” mojo, etc.

- Bug fixes: most of the bugs you helped us find have been fixed. Keep helping us, please

- Improved the feeling of enemies “spawning on your face”. This should be mitigated. A lot of you mentioned this was being a problem, so we changed the way enemies spawn in the game.

As always, we have tweaked many things from the previous quests (Quest 1 and Quest 2). We need feedback about this, so we encourage to delete the savegame and start with a fresh voodoo keeper!

Thanks everyone!

Hello everyone!
We just uploaded a new update with some improvements, new content and some tweaks to the difficulty.

Once you finish a quest, you get the option to replay it on “harder” mode. We have included a few modes that I think are a nice challenge for you. We want to hear your opinions: too easy, too hard?
Since we think the new difficulty levels are quite hard, we added a new set of “high tier” pins to the game. There is a level requirement to unlock those pins.
Pins can’t be unlocked with gold anymore. You have to explore the game to get them as rewards. Pins can be found while killing enemies (low chance), in chests (low chance) or in secrets and reward chests (higher chance).
Some reward masks are now given after finishing a quest.
Several quality of life tweaks and bugs fixes.

Hope you like this new update! Would be awesome if you could start over your character to see how do you feel the progression of the character/pins is done.

Enjoy!

New update: Blessings, Survival Unlimited and more!

We just uploaded a new update with several improvements and tweaks.

This is the changelog for the current build:

-New Survival Unlimited mode: this mode lets you play a new version of the survival game mode, but with unlimited hordes. We added leaderboards to keep track of your records. Lets see how far can we go.
-Blessings: when you reach level 5 you can now buy "blessings" before starting a game. Blessings are expensive, but provide good advantages. They are only valid for the current quest you are playing. Blessings can be very helpful for the harder difficulty modes.
-New mojos. We added a lot of new mojos with several new properties and effects.
    -Borderless window now supported.
    -New map events.
    -New masks

As you can see, this new alpha is titled "release candidate" because we want to release the game in the upcoming days. After the release we plan to continue updating the game adding new quests and modes.

This is the first build we consider a "complete" game. Please give it a try and give us feedback.

There are plenty of ideas for new content and updates (free, no DLC or similar stuff), so keep an eye on this forum and our web for information. At this point is fairly easy to add new Loas, mojos and game modes.

We are thinking about organizing a small VS party in the next days to celebrate the release. Is anyone up for that?

We want to hear feedback and comments from you. This community has been awesome so far. You have helped us find bugs, improve gameplay features and you have translated the game to several languages (some languages still need to be finished and might have pending text still in English).

Hope to see you in the game servers!

v1.0.121

Quote
Changes:

Gold and unlockable pins are now shared in online coop
Loot modes: now you can choose between “free for all” and “round robin” modes. These modes affect loot. Free for all makes loot available for everyone (default) and Round Robin mode makes loot specific for every player. My buddy Syrneth implemented this, so maybe he can post more info about this later.
Multiplayer drops increased by number of players: more players, more loot.
Mojos on the ground will now stay on the ground a lot longer. They will still disappear after a while, but this time has been increased (from 10 seconds to 100 seconds).

Bug fixes:

Screen resolution problems (GUi didnt display correctly on resolutions higher than 1080).
Ghoulified enemies could sometimes damage the player.
Russian text: the letter "б" (only the small letter) has a weird spacing before and after it.
Fixed a bug in quest 3 where the player didnt receive experience after finishing the first level.
Added two scrolls that were missing from the library.

Other:

    Translations updated.
Fixed support for other gamepads. Some gamepads still need emulator to work perfectly.
New voodoo doll added into the library.

EDIT: Please give us feedback about the gamepad update. If you could not play with gamepad, try it now and tell us if its fixed.
