The Dungeoning is a 2D pixel art roguelike platformer, with procedurally generated levels and perma-death. When you die, it’s game over and the level is destroyed.You gain experience by fighting enemies and you can level up your various attributes to become stronger.Along the way you will find many mysterious objects and weapons that will help in your quest. Will you become a powerful wizard/witch or a legendary swordsman/swordswoman??The game is due out sometime in 2013 probably, for Windows and Mac, Unix. I hope to have a free demo available before the game is finished.
The Dungeoning Alpha Demo, for Windows and OSX.Updated to version 0.4 on Monday 12th August 2013This is an early playable demo, limited to 5 levels from across the whole game. (You get cursed after 10 minutes of playing one game!)Press escape to enter the menu. Z and X jump and attack. If you manage to collect a ranged weapon, press A to target a nearby enemy. Try wearing any rings you find to figure out what status effects they give you. Push up to open chests, climb ladders and enter doors. Changelist (what I can remember)-Game tutorial (shown as hints on first level)-New sound effects and music functionality.-Plunging attack works better.-Destructable objects (bushes, crates) take less hits.-Improved physics and collision.-Fancy smoke on intro screen.-Improved health/stamina/magic bars.-Show health bar etc in menu.-Quick health key (defaults to 'S' on keyboard)-Gui sound effects.-Enemies can be hurt by falling blocks.
