Spammers...

Okay we have been having a lot of spam problems, so maybe something should be done to discourage/prevent it? My best thought is to prevent new users from posting links, and put a cap on their posting speed; that or maybe just make registration different...

It's quite bad on RogueBasin too - lots of spam registrations every day.

Biggest thing I think is the forums need updating.

They are up to date on the SMF1.x branch; what we need is to upgrade to SMF2, but it's not quite as straightforward.

It would also help if we went into a holy crusade to vanquish all spambots from the face of earth.

Is there a secret Kill button I've been missing all this time?  Delete Post and Remove Topic are all that I know of, and each of those could have legitimate usage at times versus a command specifically for guaranteed spambots.
