Just so you know, and this is a common misconception, just because a game is free and open source doesn't mean the media associated with it is free for reuse.  In fact, if there is not some kind of clause saying that the media is free to use on separate projects, it would be illegal to use it, even when modified.

I don't know if there is somewhere in the crawl files a notice saying you can freely reuse their tiles.  If there is, or if you have express written consent in some form, then carry on.

Ah, I wasn't aware of this.  Thanks as always, getter77

As for feedback:
The game closes upon death, which pretty much makes it unlikely for players to keep playing it.
Controls/help should pop up with the '?' key (kind of a standard)
UI text boxes seem to have text in the borders rather than have the borders enclosing the text
You seem to start with equipment, which is inexplicably not equipped
There are hidden doors, but no search key as far as I can tell.
There is at least one control key, '5', which doesn't show up on the control list, but only on the tip list.
I would describe the interface as "tedious"
There are also the obvious problems, like doors the are just sitting in the open not actually having a purpose, enemy attack animations happen before your character is drawn in his new tile, etc.

What is my goal?  Where is a description of the mechanics?
I realize this is "early development feedback" but you don't need me to tell you that the game is not really in a judgment-worthy state right now.  Without a documented search key, the game is tedious to play, at least with the rate of "secret doors" I had spawning.
