Interesting idea.  Made it to level 10 before I died.

Some bugs:
On a few floors half of my party would spawn in a different room.
Party members very often got stuck even in simple pathfinding situations.  I would switch to them to manually move them, and another guy would get stuck >_<

It would be nice if you could choose who to pay, although I don't think it made much of a difference in my case.
