Roguelegends: Dark Realms , is a dark fantasy, cosmic horror, ascii roguelike with an eternal darkness style sanity system and unique win conditions for each class.

It takes place in an evocative, lore-filled dark fantasy world, taking inspiration from games such as Ultima Ratio Regum, Dwarf Fortress, Overlord, the tabletop game Silent Legions, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

The game uses a complex procedural generation system,
First it generates the monsters, gives them names, interesting features and so on,
It generates cannon fodder monsters, magic monster's, and dwarf fortress FB style monsters, Vermin, and many more.
Then it generates engravings, statues, and paintings based on all these creatures and the lore of the world and so on.
It results in a pretty rich feeling dungeon. Anyway, if you have a chance, do check it out. I've been developing it since 2014 so.

This isnt the release, its still no where near, but when school started back up i stopped working on this, but since school is over for the next 5 weeks, I have time to work on this!

Yeah, i know, its ambitious, which is why it turns out it takes time.

Adding weapons/armor and rarity is progressing at nice pace i just need to make the UI for equipping/Unequipping now and make it call the equip method. Huzzah

DId i mention my roguelike has full mouse control?

I also need to randomly generate magical items.

I like the idea of a time limit myself. It worked for Larn, which I still enjoy playing. And the food systems in Rogue and other games are more or less just a variation on the concept of a time limit.

It can be because of alot of things, ide messing up, accidentally deleting things and forgetting about it, virus infection , old hard drive/memory addressing problems.
Well for me, It was just that my folder disappeared and when I did a full search I couldn't find it, which means I probably deleted it accidentally while cleaning up my desktop.

Everythings good now.

I really should, I think I tried it once, but it was a very long time ago.
I enjoy looking at other peoples roguelikes and seeing how they do things.

Thanks! also yes, I was on vacation for 3 weeks and forgot my laptop so I wanst able to work on it awhile, im back in now and have gotten some stuff done and am making a blog post tomorrow! Have fun!

Post by: Untrustedlife on April 28, 2018, 02:13:52 PM: I have seen alot of people with this issue. Ill get a fix out for it, but it requires a font (because i use libtcod) and my font is custom so i have to make a custom smaller sized font.

Thanks Getter,i was worried people would think my game had a virus if he kept this up, and i dont get many downloads already..

The public release of the new version of RLDR! With a completely rewritten and improved dungeon generator lots of proc gen fixes and a whole new dungeon branch! And a new win condition for the peasant class that even has voice acting!
