The Roguemundi contains the roguelike players and developers all around the world.
It is not meant to be an exact representation of the world, but rather a roguelification of it.
Any feedback and comments for improvement are appreciated.
Here are some simple usage terms:
* You must add your Latitude and Longitude location, a wikipedia link is given to aid you on this.
* Roguemundi provides an "Edition Request" link which you must use in order to correct submitted info
* You must not spam this sacred atlas, or your heart will be destroyed
* Any conflicts on the entries will be solved in the roguetemple forums, and the entry will be put on a temporary revision status until the conflict is solved.
* You must only add yourself as developer if you have one or more roguelike games, either as projects or finished works, and they can be found on the net. Thus you must give out a URL where people can know about them.

I don't like how the @ signs float over the map, instead of being a part of it (like in the typical roguelike display). This destroys the feeling. I think they just should appear instead of the dot, or whatever terrain a rogueliker is living on. There is no sense to have @ positions with more precision than the map has. If there would be two @s in one place, just move one of them a bit.
I would like a zoomout feature, so I can see the whole map at once.
Maybe add some function to see a map point's coordinates by hovering over it (and maybe ever enter it into the form)?

I agree that this breaks the roguelike feeling (which is nice in itself), but then how to show two people who live at the same point of the grid (eg. two developers, both at Ulithi)?

Making it that way would be a bit complicated. Roguelikers overlap already... so I guess it will stay that way for a bit.
The good news is that may change, as long as we have the exact lat and long coordinates, different views may be developer later.
I will take note of the features
* Zoom out
* Locate coordinate
* Check coordinate

Once you have zoom out, you're just one (or perhaps two) steps away from an ASCII version of GoogleEarth :P
I'd love to zoom in and see my house's floor plan rendered in ASCII!

Haha, why not? the future is open to many things! :)

This is neat. Is using javascript to create better on-hover info out of the question? Then you could solve the problem of a lot of people close together.
After the 'fix' to the southern hemisphere, people in NZ and Australia are still placed about 500km north of where they should be (before, it was something like 1500km)
-
I am developing another view which will look a bit more roguelikish and will solve the overlapping issue. It uses a bit more of JS
I will look forward to solve the southern problem...

And while you are at it, change mine from DemiseRL to Warlocks Mountain and SewerJacks. Use existing link.
