Unexplored beta to be added to steam greenlight soon
« on: March 31, 2016, 07:36:42 PM »
Hi there,

We're are preparing a Steam greenlight campaign for our real-time roguelike Unexplored. Just thought you'd be interested in a sneak peek.

The game is set up as a traditional roguelike: you are going after the Amulet of Yendor in a generated dungeon willed with monsters, traps, and unidentified potions. In fact, Brogue was one of the big inspirations for this game. The main difference is that the combat is real-time, fast-paced and pretty physical. You can still pause the game at any moment should you want to rethink your current strategy.

Here's a link to a brief but recent gameplay video, so you'll get an idea of how it plays.

But I also wrote something about the content generation (back when the game was still called DUngeon Run) in a blog post you can find here:

We're very interested in what you think!

The game is now making a splash in Steam Greenlight. Not doing bad at all, but we can use all the help we can get:

Also over the last couple of weeks we've created a new technique for content generation that uses cycles (not linear paths) as it core structure. If you're interested you can read about that here:
