Yep, there's nothing to feel bad about in completing a game at all in 7 days, and particularly in getting scores above 2.0
Looking at many of the games that either weren't completed in time or didn't turn out so well, a fairly common flaw is over-extending. Too many good ideas for just one week. A lot of the best 7DRLs come from people who picked one thing they wanted to do, and then did that thing as well as they could.
This year, for example, take a look something like Golden Krone Hotel. Fairly standard roguelike in many ways but with a couple of distinctive things added, and refined as much as possible the time available. There's nothing wrong with being more ambitious if you can pull it off, but equally there's nothing wrong with keeping your goals modest and making sure you execute them well.
