Font is so small the game is unplayable. What were you thinking? It's a pity, because this game looks very interesting.

I was thinking that this 8x8 font works perfectly for how much I want to display at once. I've seen several other games use an 8x8 font size so I'm not sure how it's innately unplayably small. Do you know of another square font for code page 437 that I could use?

I would make it not displaying all map at once but scroll as needed.

But part of what I was exploring with Pugnacious Wizards is how to make an interesting single-screen dungeon.

Is there something specific about the font that's too small? Is the text illegible? Is it to hard to tell what's walls and what's floors? I put a lot of thought and trial and error experimentation into contrast, hues, and brightness. There's a lot going on in small spaces, which is the point, but I tried to make it you you can still tell what's going on.

The brightness, contrast and things like that are perfect, you put a lot of good work into it. It reminds me of Brogue. I'm talking about font size only, especially reading tiny text messages. But if you wanted single screen game, then there is not much helping it I guess. However it doesn't take all screen on my resolution, which is 1280x1024, so maybe it is possible to do something. I tried to scale the window like in some flash games by pressing CTRL+mouse wheel up, but it didn't do anything. So I tried lowering desktop resolution to 1024x768. It is a bit better, but still hard to read.

The expected resolution is 800x640. It displays that way when I view the webpage in Safari and Chrome. If you use the standalone Flash Player then you may have to manually resize it.

No, I was talking about system resolution, not of that particular Flash window. Lowering system resolution caused the game to take more monitor area and effectively displaying bigger font.
