Roguelike strategies that can be employed in multiple games:

- Never play the game tired. If you must insist in playing it tired, create a new character.

- If the game is a non-changing dungeon, you can run away upstairs, rest, then come back.

- By the same token, you can also just dive to the next floor and come back when you are stronger.

- Have the habbit to take a peek at your inventory every now and then.

- If the game has pets, run around the pet while the foo wastes turns chasing you while your pet attacks it.

- Write notes! It slows down the game and it can be quite a good thing. Write notes on where you left that stash, where that fountain was, what Dungeon Level has this particulary hard foe. I would also like to know what my fellow roguelike players write.
