House of the Lost - An action/adventure roguelike for iPad
« on: November 06, 2012, 08:43:34 PM »
Hey everyone, my name is Brandon and I'm the founder of F5 Games. Our new game, House of the Lost, is an action roguelike similar to Binding of Isaac or the original Legend of Zelda and it has just recently been released for the iPad.

I would love to hear what you all think about the game, we've tried to stay true to the difficulty and personal progression aspects that every good roguelike should have, while also providing a streamlined experience for new players.

You can grab the game for free from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/house-of-the-lost/id562973299?mt=8

And you can get more information about the game, as well as a look at our reveal trailer, at our website: http://www.f5games.com/house-of-the-lost

If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.

You've got a good look going and probably a wise move with the crafting paired with unlocks versus the "running repeatedly into a brick wall" death notions.

Any plans for other platforms in the future, like say Windows PC, depending on how things shake out?

Thanks!

We're planning to make continual updates to the iPad version throughout the rest of the year and we're hoping to bring House of the Lost to the Kindle Fire and some other Android tablets between now and Christmas. From there our hope is that we'll be able to port the game to the OUYA and try to get on Steam through Greenlight sometime next year.

Cool, don't forget about Gamersgate and especially Desura when the time comes in the run up to shooting for Steam's Greenlight----some good Roguelike company on Desura from alpha stages to gold+.
