Dumb question about using Dropbox to share my game
« on: May 18, 2012, 01:01:47 PM »
I guess that to use Dropbox to share my game with people here, I'm supposed to give a link to the file, right? As opposed to inviting people to join my Dropbox folder.

Like I said, dumb question.

Thanks!

Any files you put into your "Public" Dropbox folder are accessible to anyone that has the weblink. I believe the use of the other folders is with regards to specifically sharing them with other people, or for your own personal use.

So yeah, just put the game in Public and post the link.

  Game hunter is right now.

Post a weblink if you want people to download and play/test. It's a very rare person who will sign up for something just to play a roguelike.

Thanks, everybody!

I didn't really think that I was supposed to invite people to a shared folder, but I just wanted to be certain.
