Western (wild west) themed roguelikes?
« on: November 27, 2011, 07:28:21 PM »
Just curious if there were any western (wild west) themed roguelikes out there. Personally, I think it would be a fun change from the usual themes of either fantasy or tech. Although mixing wild west with fantasy might be kinda cool. Orc stage coach robbers and what not with maybe a little magic thrown in with the six shooters, whiskey, horses, shotguns, and cat houses.

The closest match I can offer is Steamband which has magic, revolvers and shotguns in one game.

Tried that one. Couldn't get into it myself too much. I'm not particularly fond of Angband or most it's variants. Especially since there is no full screen. Not that I can find anyways.

IRLDb lists only one game with a western theme (not displayed by default since it is defunct). I think Abura Tan is not playable, but at least you can see it... (I remember trying it several years ago and it was not that bad)
