Golden Age: Endless Dungeon
« on: April 23, 2011, 01:20:39 AM »
So, here we have a fresh-faced, retro'ish looking graphical Roguelike with both a free offline version and a free online Facebook integration:

-Randomly generated dungeons, new game every time
-Over 50 items, 20 enemies, and of course, infinite levels
-A high score board with daily high scores and a Facebook connection to play against friends
-High difficulty and a need for tactics
-Great GBC-era feel

Which, of all things, happens to be based on an ongoing UK Radio drama series which has released an official free P&P RPG with various Expansions planned.

As somebody that has often ranted that more P&P outfits would do well to look into cRPG doings, Roguelikes in particular, this turn of events is one that I hope work well for all parties involved and leads to more frequent things of this sort.

I should also mention this was beget by a successful 7DRL attempt this year that served as the framework to this, Deep Realm Heroes!   8)

First time something like this has happened with an entrant?   Cheers to newfound success and hopes that all participants keep at it!
