Have any of you tried this?
It's a top down action game where you play as a wizard, teamed up with up to 3 others to save the world.
The best part about it is the casting system and cooperative play. Your character has an enormous array of tremendously powerful spells, but it's easy to miscast, with potentially dangerous results. Your spells also work just as well on your teammates as they do your enemies. Accidents are frequent, and death is the a common outcome.
Think of New Super Mario Bros Wii, if you've played that, where more teammates means you're more likely to die than anything else.
It's not very rogueish, but I thought I'd tell you guys about it anyway, because despite looking like another Diablo clone, it's actually a fantastic, incredibly unique game.
