This was somewhat disappointing. Some games released, but nothing really mindblowing. Or was there? I didn't actually play any of them...

It was a rather low key affair this year and was not really advertised to much. (i never look at the home page of roguetemple), The first 7drl comp too was low key.   Lets see what happens next year.
Also I too am yet to play anything, but hopefully someone organises a play week or some reviews etc.
corremn's Roguelikes. To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor.  Warhammer 40000 the Roguelike

TOME4 is the best of them by far, though it was already a good game.  The combat is quite different from most roguelikes I've played before, with a lot of strategic thought based around activated talents.  Great interface too, and very polished overall.  I'm having a lot of fun with this right now!

I was actually waiting it out this year. Although, I do have a lot of homework and shouldn't be working on roguelikes anyway, that wasn't my main reason for not competing this year. Honestly, I didn't really like the idea at first, but I also didn't think it was a bad idea. So I figured I would wait to see how it actually turned out.

And well, it turned out awesome! It turned out so well that I sincerely hope to see this contest continue, and I will for certain be releasing a new version of all my roguelikes (Dreamhack, Underhall and my current project) for AARP 2011! :)
