Hi all! Just boosting my 7DRL 18 submission "afield".

You can download it for windows/macOS at ottomaddox.itch.io/afield (sorry, no links for me)

I love strategic movement and resource conservation mechanics, so I stuck with those and pared away some of the other rogue-y stuff. You play a grasshopper bounding home over varied terrain. You have a finite number of hops before your stamina runs out, but the range of each jump is modified by the current tile you occupy. Meanwhile, you have to dodge creeps or confront them head-on with ability cards you gain after each level.

The overall design is very much coffee-break scale. Each level takes 10-30 seconds to play through, and a full playthrough comprises 30 levels. If I have time, I'd like to add more ability cards beyond the 3 core buffs that made it into the jam build, as well as some more enemy variety.

I kept it super simple with this one, but I think it works pretty well! I'm especially happy with how the audio/visual design turned out.

Thanks to everyone else who built games this year; I'm having a great time going through 'em!
