I feel like reading some good medieval-fantasy literature. Can anyone recommend anything? The only book of the genre I've ever read was Tolkien's "The Hobbit" a long while ago, but I found it a bit bland. I'll read his other works if they're worth it, but, if it's more of the same, seeing the movies was enough.
The Hobbit is a book for children, and
The Lord of the Rings is rather for more adult readers I think, so the style is different, and I think it has far more depth. But maybe you should try something else if you don't like the style of
The Hobbit and you have seen the movie. (OTOH, LOTR is a classic that everyone should check out.) The style of
The Silmarillion is yet different (it is more like a mythology or history book, the stories told take many years, but are presented with less details).
