Changelog

Added Steam Achievements! Your first win is just the beginning...
Faron's head is no longer part of his hitbox
Improved final boss fight
Balanced changes to The Core
The soundtrack now mutes when the game window is out of focus
Fixed various memory leaks and crashes
Various bugfixes

Hope everyone enjoys the changes, the game is a lot more stable and polished now. Be sure to leave a steam review if you like the game, it really helps out!

The mechanic of fighting the ghosts of your past runs was something I has a long time ago, back when I was prototyping different types of minibosses for the game. The idea was that if you picked up the power glove, you'd have a chance to fight a ghost Faron carrying a power glove in future runs. However, due to time constraints near release, ghosts were were rushed.
This patch finally makes ghosts fun to fight in my opinion. They've been re-balanced and re-coded to be smarter, telegraph their attacks better, and actually drop the weapons they use when you kill them. To celebrate the bigger, better ghosts, I've increased the spawn rate of ghosts and added a new Ghost Buster! achievement. Enjoy!

Added variance to the layout of ghost rooms
Added a new ghost-themed item: Jar of Souls!
More ghost spawns!
Fixed ghosts not being consistent among seeds
Gave the Time Attack challenge mode a bit of rebalancing. Give it another shot and try to get that achievement!

Hey, everyone! Thanks for the outstanding support I've gotten on Faron's Fate so far! Though the game's player base is still small, the reactions of people who have played has been overwhelmingly positive.

I was test playing through the other day and thought of some things that would make the game a lot more fun and balanced. Though I'm focusing most of my time on my next project, I want to make sure that Faron's Fate is stable and fun!

Changelog:
Changes to the Ouija Board! Previously, the item increased the chances of you fighting a ghost of your previous runs, and also gave +1 damage. I didn't like how the item acted, so now, instead of a flat +1 damage upon picking up the item, you'll actually gain +1 damage for every ghost you kill!
Improvements to the Wishing Well! Visual indicators for how full the well is (yes, it is saved between runs) and you can now bomb the well if you need gold!
Rebalanced Time Attack mode (again). You'll now start with Yorick's Curse, which gives you +1 damage every floor!
Rebalanced the Altar of Fate.
Lowered the spawn rate of player ghosts slightly
Fixed a crash with the lazer eye item, it's usable again!
Various bugfixes
