Spelunky is a good one.

Brogue, Aliens, Infra Arcana, Powder, Prime (might be 2 people), Random Realms, Demon Hunt.

Veins of the Earth are pretty much single author game, if you disregard Seb's contributions.

Are you the same guy who posted about a similar project on the Dwarf Fortress forums?

Anyway, how about the Space Empires series by Aaron Hall? The first three games were done entirely by him; the latter two (as well as the spinoff space RPG Starfury) were programmed entirely by him with help with music and art from others.
