Favourite Android videogames?
« on: October 04, 2012, 11:22:46 PM »
What are your favourite videogames for Android?

I'll start with:

Condado

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kevinquan.condado&hl=it
"Condado is an unofficial implementation of Andreas Seyfarth's card game San Juan, which is in turn based off of the award winning board game Puerto Rico."
Very nice and quick card game where you are in a rush to build a city against 1 to 3 rivals. Nice mechanics; everything is shown on the table at any given time - there are no gold coins or points, cards in hand represent expendable resources. Decent AI.

Androdominion
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mehtank.androminion&hl=it
Play the famous strategy game Dominion on your phone. Pretty raw but works very well and there are many cards.

Fortunes of war
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fortunesofwar.full&hl=it
Another card game inspired by Dominion I recently discovered. You gradually build a deck in every game purchasing every turn a card available in the shared pool. Polished, nice and quick, but not fully free and would need more cards.

Angry birds
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angrybirds&hl=it
Very famous game.. basically you have to destroy unstable structures by throwing at them different birds using a giant sling.

Chess free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.aifactory.chessfree&hl=it
I love chess and this is a nice free app with good AI. Playing against online human opponents isn't possible though.

What I enjoy the most in roguelikes: Anti-Farming and Mac Givering my way out. Kind of what I also enjoy in life.

Operation Barbarossa
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudworth.operationbarbarossa
Nice war game.
You are in the command of the German WWII armed forces - tanks, infantry and air force units - and the object of the game is to conquer the Soviet Union as quickly as possible. To have a chance to seize the top spot in the Hall of Fame you need to skillfully encircle scores of Red Army infantry units with your panzers, while battling both the feared T-34 tank units and the notorious Russian weather.

Hey Skeletor I think I've played that Barbossa game as a boardgame at some point.

If you can get ahold of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms game I hear it's pretty awesome. Plays a bit like the SNES version, RotTK II, which for me was the height of the series (though the new ones are also pretty awesome).

I liked it but didn't lasted long.
You should really try Androminion, played it a lot and still keeps being interesting.
And the devs seems keen to add espansions regularly.
