New Review Blog
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:06:04 AM »
I have just started a new review blog, and since I am a huge rl fan, a good portion of the blog's content will be rl related.  So if you want to check it out, here is the link:

Out of 4 articles written so far (my goal is to write at least one a day) not counting the welcome post, two of them are rl related.  Here are the specific links for those that don't want to wade through the whole thing, lol:

Review of Cardinal Quest for iPhone:

Preview of Crystal Catacombs, a game being funded on Kickstarter:

More out there the better indeed, doubly so as I had not yet heard of Crystal Catacombs and am pleased to see it is very nearly funded with so much time left on the clock---nice work!

RogueTemple suffers recently from my inactivity in writing reviews so I am happy too to see another review weblog. Yes, the links are nice because when your site grows in size there is going to be a lot of stuff to wade through.

Great work; I'll be following your posts!  I'll have to give your Dungeon Twister review a read, as a fan of the original board game.

The crystal catacombs game looks pretty cool. Wish they could have included the pdf manual with the $10  or $15 level donation though. They could probably do better for the main character walk/run animation.

The articles were cool. I only skimmed through the ios related ones though since I don't hane an iphone or anything like that. Hope they port fabled lands to pc. I grew up on those kinds of game books.

Nifty find!

Hmm, looks like things went kinda south maybe come late 2010 with them hoping some books sold well enough to get the rest out there and keep the dev going it seems?  Or perhaps the iOS version represents them taking another crack at it to get the rest going since it apparently only deals with the first 2 books?

Still, like P&P games-----more software/games need to get written for these sort of gamebooks considering they too are a treasure trove of content, rulesets, etc.
