Hey, all. I'm currently developing a roguelike-like with Python/libTCOD and I wanted to share it with you in case anyone is interested in discussion or eventually being a guinea pig. The name of the game is Cult: Awakening of the Old Ones, and the blog can be found at:
http://cultrl.wordpress.com. I've recently put up a few development videos and I'm currently working on a building/crafting system.
The game engine itself is in early development, but the main features at this point are a completely procedurally generated world. This includes the terrain itself, named terrain features (mountains, lakes, glaciers, forests, plains, and so on), morphologically unique creatures in each world, and nations (along with their history). You can see some samples of newly-generated worlds in the
Screenshots section of the devblog - I just posted a new batch a couple of days ago.
I really do love feedback and responses, so let me say thank you in advance in case anyone is interested.
ETA:
It appears I had a (rather old) topic here that I'd completely forgotten about. Gah! If a moderator could delete or merge it for me, that would be profoundly helpful. Otherwise I'll go ahead and lock it.
