Hello everyone!
I am a University Student on Computer Science and I am very new to game development. I have played around a little with Unity before, trying to get to know how to use it and i wanted to try to make an actual playable game with it. I like and play roguelike games a lot so I used the 7DRL challenge as a fun opportunity to learn more about game development and to try to make a game that has some roguelike elements in it.
So this is my first ever "completed" game. Completed in the sense that you can actually play it and reach a final goal.
I tried to give all my attention in the game mechanics and to create a as bug as free game as possible since my artistic side is really underdeveloped as it is obvious from how the game looks and i could really use some help on that department.
I would really appreciate it if you could find the time to post any feedback here or contact me privately(babis-n@windowslive.com). I really want to know what I am doing wrong and how i can improve so you can be as harsh and strict as you want.
Undertiled
Undertiled is a tile-based procedurally generated puzzle game.
Your goal is to find under which tile the "ladder" that will lead you to the next level is hidden.
You must use the mechanics and the information you get from each tile you reveal to locate the exact position of the "ladder".
When you are certain(or not) of its position you can use the Dig button to dig that specific tile and see if you were correct.
You only have one chance so you better be sure about it. The game currently features 6 levels with increasing difficulty.
For more detailed rules and information about each tile's functionality please visit the "Game Rules" section in the Main Menu of the game.
Important note : If it is possible please play the game in
1920x1080 resolution!
There is an issue in the scaling of the number texts in different resolutions that i haven't managed to fix yet. Sorry for that!
