Dungeon Souls is a 2D hack n' slash roguelike dungeon crawler.

The objective is for the player to stay alive throughout the course of the game. Each level is randomly generated so each playthrough has a unique environment and challenges. The player's goal is to search and activate all the marks placed in each level to unlock the dungeon and hopefully escape. However, players will encounter different obstacles in the labyrinthine dungeons. Players can collect various items and upgrades to counter the dungeon's dark forces.

Some elements in Dungeon Souls were inspired by Risk of Rain, Nuclear Throne, Overture, BitVenture and Shoot First.

Here’s Dungeon Souls Update #1:

- New Items!
- Pop-up will now be “BERSERK” instead of “SLOWED” in berserk mode.
- Thief Dash was changed to “Thief Bomb” while Smoke Bomb was changed to “Invisibility.”
- Cleric’s description has been changed.
- Archer’s 3rd ability will be raining 10 arrows instead of 20 arrows.
- Key has been fixed when buying an item.
- Melee attacks will now destroy projectiles.
- Fixed the bug where your normal attack has no damage when you have Thornmail or Molotov.
- Soul Jar can now create more souls but will heal slower.
- Gold is not stashed anymore when in EASY difficulty.
- Soul orb is now required to rank up your character.
- You can now mute the game, disable screen shake and flashes.
- Details of the class abilities will now allow you to view them when hovered (in game).
- Ability icon dims when deactivated.

We are continuing to incorporate all your suggestions/comments so there will be more updates.

•   Balanced Red Devil’s damage
•   Fixed Cleric's regeneration bug where it stack when you use it

HOW CRIT CHANCE WORK:
item crit chance = +50% crit chance += (50/100) crit chance += 0.5%
*This works the same on the items that gives bonus damage/defense

For those who are still waiting for the controller support and resolution options, we are still working on it. We are trying our best to update as much as we can every week and we are also working now on making the game available for Mac and Linux soon. We will post an announcement as soon as this becomes available.

Sorry for the delay in update. We were supposed to release an update last week but Mike has been busy preparing for the IGDA Manila meetup because he was chosen to be one of the speakers. One of our team members took all your suggestions/recommendations/comments to keep track of the updates.
If we were not so active in the discussions in the past weeks it is because we are also busy preparing for some other things.

If there are other things that we haven't included yet in this patch especially those have been posted in the discussion, we will go over it again and include them on the next patch. :)

Here are the changes made:

- New magic and active items!
- Enemies in Boss Room and Judgement's Big Projectiles now has chance to drop potions
- Lady Laine now drops big chest
- Lock pick now gives you 25% chance to open all chests
- Increased chance for enemies to drop potions
- Reduced laser beams' knockback
- Item acquired popup text is now back
- Leveling up now increases your maximum hp by 5%
- Merlin's hat now gives you 10 magic resistance
- Laser staff should now display "20% chance" not "20 chance" and gives you 5 magic damage
- Necromancer's skellies can't be stuck on walls anymore when summoned
- Map frame can now be enable/disable
- Use items now has their own outline color
- Fallen Soldier Shield should now have a green outline
- Reduced number of traps but still are dangerous
- Reduced the range of arrow traps

We know that it has been a while since the last update. We have taken the time to review your comments/suggestions. We also have been also watching some of the gameplays and read the game reviews so we can implement those that you have shared with us. We appreciate your patience and participation every week. We enjoyed your collaboration in this project with your thoughts that help us to enhance the game and add as much to make it better.

We apologize if we have missed some of your questions, but we go over them and we try to reply as soon as we can. We are still working on some of your suggestions/comments and for the controller support and other platforms, these will really need some time for us to be able to implement.
