v1.2.0   8)

Quote
The update will show up for Humble Bundle customers, Android users, and iOS users whenever it's approved by the respective companies.

GENERAL
-------------------
- NEW FEATURE: Daily Realms. A new upgrade is now available at level 20 that allows the teleportation shrine to take you to a Daily Realm.
  - This online-only feature allows you to travel to a "Daily Realm" - an extremely large Realm with more enemies, treasure, and events than normal realms.
  - Several statistics are tracked and displayed for the player such as the number of players who cleared the realm, the number of players who died in the realm, etc.
  - All players will visit the same exact Daily Realm - they'll encounter the same floor layout, the same enemies, and the same treasure as each other.
  - Players will be rewarded for completing consecutive Daily Realms.
  - Added several new Accolades to the Character sheet that are related to Daily Realms.
  - To learn more about Daily Realms, speak with Licktorr in the War Room.
- NEW FEATURE: Dye System. A new type of item called "Dye" can now be used to change your creatures' colors.
  - Dyes are consumable items, so they will disappear after you use them once.
  - There are over 100 different kinds of Dye in the game. Some basic colors can be purchased from Bynine.
  - Some Dye colors are only available during seasonal holidays, in-game events, contests, or in Daily Realms.
  - Dyes are meant to be special - unlike other items, these cannot be found regularly throughout the game.
- NEW FEATURE: Secret Codes, a new online feature. You can now talk to Bynine and give him a 10-digit code in exchange for an item.
  - These codes will be distributed regularly to players as prizes for contests, special events, and things like that.
  - Check the Events forum often for a chance to win a Secret Code!
- When you start a new game with Random Creature Mode enabled, your starting creature and secondary creature will now be randomized as well, based on your character's class.
- Added 22 new artifact properties.
- Added 5 new legendary crafting materials.
- Added 19 new rare crafting materials.
- Added 2 new consumable battle buff items.
- Licktorr no longer gives out a free Pocket Dumpling. Instead, he provides info and statistics for Daily Realms. You can now buy Pocket Dumplings from Bynine.
- "Mysterious Realms" are now simply referred to as "Realms".
- The increased resource shrine effect now affects power in addition to the other resources.
- Reduced the health shrine effect from 30% to 25%.
- Reduced the luck shrine effect from 50% to 30%.
- You can now press cancel (Q on keyboards, B on mobile devices) to permanently disable the introductory message that explains the game's controls when the game is first started.
- Slightly increased character experience points gained in battle.
- Greatly increased character and creature experience point bonuses granted from battling in higher realm levels.
- Upon reaching character level 20 after a battle on mobile devices, a one-time notice will now appear asking the user to rate the game.
- Online connectivity should now be much more reliable for people with slow or stalling connections.

ABILITIES
-------------------
- Adaptation (Regal Golem) now also increases a certain stat by 20% based on the type of realm you're in. Also changed some of the buffs granted by this ability to make it more useful.
- Attunement (Ancient Spirit) has been reworked. When interacting with a shrine, you now gain all the possible bonuses but at 50% of their normal effect.
- Black Hole Halo (Imperial Angel): chance reduced to 30%, now affects all friendly creatures.
- Cataclysm (Magma Golem): no longer provides Molten Armor (Burn is much better now, so this ability needed to be toned down).
- Clemency (Mirage Cleric): reworked. When the creature defends, it resets all creatures' stats back to the way they were at the start of battle.
- Crux (Diabolic Nemesis): reduced extra damage received from 90% to 50%.
- Eldritch Battery (Chaos Guard): renamed to "Through Oblivion" and reworked. Now when the creature defends, it gains Timewarp for 2 turns.
- Entanglement (Moss Golem): reworked. When the creature defends, has a 35% chance to Snare each enemy.
- Epidemic (Pulse Bat): now only transfers debuffs.
- Eternal Torment (Carnage Tormentor): now only increases the duration of enemy debuffs.
- In Flames (Volcanic Efreet): now only the creature with this ability starts battles with Burn.
- Kirisute Gomen (Shogun): removed restriction that only one creature can have this ability.
- Perdition (Cleric Spellbinder): defense bonus now counts the creature with this ability as well.
- Pyre (Firewound Angel): chance reduced to 50%, damage reduced to 40% (Burn is much better now, so this ability needed to be toned down).
- Rampage (Vicious Pit Worm): reduced recoil damage to 20%.
- Secular Haze (Delusion Cleric): reworked. All your creatures have the Magic buff.
- Undone (Pit Wraith Liberator): now immune to all debuffs (previously was buffs and debuffs).

BATTLE
-------------------
- NEW FEATURE: Battle Events. In battle, there is a small chance that certain random effects will happen. These effects are based on the realm you're fighting in.
  - For example, when a creature is killed in the Death realm, there is a chance that it will be reanimated as an undead creature to fight again.
  - There are at least three battle events for each realm. There are no events in the castle or arena.
  - You probably won't encounter these events very often - maybe one or two per realm. These are intended only to add flavor to battles and make them feel a little more dynamic.
- Rebalanced enemy resource drop rates from winning battles. All four main resources should be more evenly distributed now.

CONDITIONS
-------------------
- Conditions are no longer referred to as "Conditions" in-game. Instead, they are now broken down into two categories: "Buffs" and "Debuffs".
  - Buffs are conditions that affect the creature in a positive way. Debuffs are conditions that affect the creature in a negative way.
  - Many abilities and spells now interact only with Buffs or only with Debuffs.
  - Buffs and Debuffs are generally more simplistic than Conditions were. Most have only one core function and have straightforward names.
- New buff: Arcane. This buff causes the creature to deal 25% more spell damage.
- New buff: Barrier. This buff absorbs a certain amount of damage. The amount of damage is determined when the condition is first applied to the creature.
- New buff: Cleave. This buff causes creatures to deal 35% of their damage to the creatures to the left and right of the target.
- New buff: Grace. This buff increases the amount of healing received from all sources by 100%.
- New buff: Magic. This buff causes the creature's master to regenerate 10% mana at the start of that creature's turn.
- New buff: Rebirth. When a creature dies with this buff it is immediately brought back to life with 25% health and can strike again.
- New buff: Thrust. This buff causes creatures to deal 50% of their damage to the creature above or below the target.
- New buff: Timewarp. When this buff expires, it reverts the creature's health back to where it was when the buff was first applied.
- Berserk has been reworked. It now causes the creature to have 100% additional attack, but take 30% of the damage it deals.
- Burn has been reworked. It now deals a small amount of damage on the first tick, and the damage doubles each tick thereafter.
- Disarmed creatures now lose most of the benefits of their artifact, rather than just attack/defense/luck.
- Disease now deals 50% more damage.
- Entangled has been renamed to "Snare". Creatures are now unable to act until they attack enough times to break free. It is now about 33% more difficult to break out of this debuff.
- Fervor has been renamed to "Multistrike" and has been reworked. It now causes the creature to attack multiple times in a row for 50% less damage.
- Frost Armor now reduces incoming damage by 20% and has a 30% chance to freeze attackers.
- Infection now deals 50% more damage.
- Molten Armor now reflects 25% of incoming damage back on the attacker and has a 50% chance to burn the attacker.
- Poison has been reworked. Poison effects can now stack up to 10 times, and deals 3% of the affected creature's health as damage per stack each turn. When a creature that is already poisoned gets poisoned again, the poison gains additional stacks and the duration is refreshed.
- Sea Snakes now always reduce the target's defense by 5% per snake, and each one has a 25% chance to Snare the target.
- Baleful has been renamed to "Critical".
- Dampen has been renamed to "Ward".
- Gale has been renamed to "Dodge".
- Holy Shell has been renamed to "Shell".
- Immolate has been renamed to "Splash" and now deals 25% of the damage to surrounding creatures, up from 20%.
- Leak Defense has been renamed to "Leak".
- Rejuvenation has been renamed to "Mend".
- Shock has been renamed to "Stagger".
- Vampiric has been renamed to "Leech".
- Wolf Pack has been renamed to "Dire Wolves".
- Wormrot has been renamed to "Weak".
- Fortune has been removed from the game.
- Unholy Frenzy has been removed from the game.
- Web has beem removed from the game.
- Wisdom has been removed from the game.

CREATURES
-------------------
- Rebalanced the stats of every creature in the game.
- Creatures now all have the same stat growth rate (+20% per level).
- Consumable buff items and shrine effects no longer apply to stats granted by artifacts.
- Several creatures have been renamed for various reasons. Some names sounded awkward, others were too similar to each other, etc.
- Renamed "Atrocious Pit Worm" to "Pit Worm Harbinger".
- Renamed "Brine Slime" to "Mercurial Slime".
- Renamed "Brownie Spikepounder" to "Brownie Trickster".

- Web: now afflicts the target with Snare and sends it to the bottom of the Action Queue.
- Wind Walk: reduced Power Balance cost from 5% to 0%.

USER INTERFACE
-------------------
- To prepare for the upcoming overhaul of the user interface, all spell descriptions, ability descriptions, buff/debuff descriptions, and other text has been shortened significantly.
- Greatly reduced the number of battle messages displayed for spells and abilities.
- All references to buffs and debuffs are now placed in brackets and are colored green or red (respectively) in the game's text.

v1.3.0

Quote
The update will show up for Humble Bundle customers, Android users, and iOS users whenever it's approved by the respective companies.

GENERAL
- IMPORTANT: Resource costs and gains no longer scale with your character level - they now always remain constant.
  - For example, it now always costs 1000 essence to create a gem.
  - This will make your current save files feel very overpowered since many of you now probably have nearly infinite resources.
  - If you want to bring your resources back down to a normal, balanced level, speak with Zack in the War Room.
  - Zack will only appear one time and only for save files that were created prior to this patch.
- You can now buy lesser Nether Orbs from Bynine's shop starting at level 40.
  - These Nether Orbs have a much lower range of possible activations and maximum gems than Nether Orbs that are found naturally.
- Added a new option that allows message boxes to be displayed at the top of the screen, rather than the bottom.
- Disabled the hardware "back" button on Android devices while in a Daily Realm to prevent players from accidentally leaving.
- "Diffuse" is now called "Extract", "Plasma" is now called "Energy", and "Particles" are now called "Cores". The former terms didn't fit in well with the game's medieval/fantasy setting.
- The amount of Energy required to complete a Power Spell ritual now varies based on the amount of power you invest - the more power you invest, the more energy that is required.
- Significantly decreased the time it takes to save the game and increased loading speed.

ABILITIES
- Blood Magic (Lich Priest): the creature can no longer kill itself with this ability.

ARENA
- Your dead creatures will now be resurrected with 1 health between fights.

ARTIFACTS
- There are now 20 different types of artifacts (up from the original 3) - Swords, Armor, Helmets, Boots, and many more.
  - Each artifact's base stats either provide a large bonus to one stat, or a smaller bonus to two stats.
- By default, the Blacksmith can craft four types of artifacts for you.
  - You must complete new castle upgrades to increase the types of artifacts he can craft.
  - There are four additional upgrades in total.
- Artifact names are no longer randomly generated - they're short and straightforward.
- Artifacts now level up after you kill enough creatures with that artifact equipped.
  - Each level grants the artifact an additional stat slot and increases its primary stats.
  - This is the only way to gain stat slots. Level 1 artifacts always have only 1 stat slot, level 2 artifacts always have 2 stat slots, etc.
  - The maximum artifact level is 10, so all artifacts can have a maximum of 10 stat slots.
- Even after a legendary crafting material is applied to an artifact, the artifact will no longer be "soulbound".
  - This means you can now enchant, disenchant, reforge, and salvage an artifact even after applying a legendary crafting material.
  - There is still a limit of one legendary material that can be applied per artifact.
- Rebalanced all properties that grant buffs.
  - Powerful buffs are now granted by "Greater Inscription of X" materials and are now legendary.
  - Less-powerful buffs are now granted by "Inscription of X" materials and are now rare.
- Artifacts that players created prior to this update will be converted as follows:
  - Weapons become Swords.
  - Charms become Necklaces.
  - Shields become Heavy Shields.
  - All artifacts start at level 1, but your stat slots will not be removed nor will any of your stats.
- All artifact properties have had their values rebalanced.

BUFFS/DEBUFFS
- Berserk creatures can no longer kill themselves from the recoil damage.

ITEMS
- Loot distribution has been overhauled.
  - Goals: reduce clutter, make loot feel more useful and satisfying.
  - You will now receive far fewer items than before, but you will also receive less junk.
  - Nether Orbs are now a little more common, but the best Nether Orbs are still extremely rare.
  - Added several new items to the loot table.
  - You can no longer find resources in chests or through other means of looting. You can now find satchels of resources but they're not as common.
  - Material distribution is no longer limited based on location (for example, some materials were previously only obtainable in the arena, from chests, from salvaging, etc).
  - You can now find additional Arena Invitations even if you already have one.
- Added a new type of item: Pills. These ultra-rare consumable items permanently grant +1 to one of a creature's base stats.
  - Since creatures have +20% of all base stats for each level, pills allow your creatures to gain a large stat bonus over time.
  - These items are intended to be an alternate form of advancement for your creatures to allow you to press into higher Realm and Daily Realm levels.
  - Example: Using a Pill of Attack on your Iron Golem increases its base attack from 32 to 33.
  - These items have been added as streak rewards for Daily Realms, and are otherwise extremely rare items.
- New Power Spell rewards have been added and the drop rates/quantities have been rebalanced.
- Added 2 new consumable battle buff items.
- Increased the maximum gem level from 9 to 10.
- Ankh of Revival has been removed from the game.

REALMS
- The Duties that required you to collect artifacts have changed.
  - Instead of collecting artifacts, you must now find 5 artifact fragments. After collecting these fragments, you will earn a new artifact.
  - There are always 5 artifact fragments in the Realms that normally had them, but this is also the new criteria for these Duties.
- Improved the reward for several overworld quests (such as finding Ianne's ingots, etc).
- Duties that require the player to kill a Nether creature will now spawn a much less powerful creature if the player is below level 20.
- Exiting the game while in a Daily Realm now breaks your clear streak.

USER INTERFACE
- The long-awaited overhaul of the user interface is finally here!
- The font has been changed to give the game more of a retro feel, and the size of the text has been increased drastically.
- Added a new window that appears whenever you acquire items. This window gives you a detailed description of the items and even allows you to use them immediately, rather than having to open your inventory and find them yourself.
- Panels/windows have new graphics.
- Quests are now displayed when the menu is closed.
- The Character Sheet and Creature Sheets now display a graphical experience bar.
- The Creature Sheets now show all of a creature's abilities, including those granted by artifacts.
- All items now have their own new, unique icons. Spell scrolls now have different colors for each class. Gems have different colors/graphics for each enchantment.
- The Action Queue in battle now only displays the five most relevant creatures and now includes each creatures' battle sprite.
- Buffs that involve summoned minions now display the number of minions summoned next to the buff's name in battle.
- The Transmutation menu now shows a description of the ability granted by a legendary crafting material.
- Most interfaces now generally have a more organized layout with less unnecessary text and more important information.
- Reorganized the options menu.
- Greatly increased the size of the map.
- Updated the cursor graphic.

BUG/CRASH FIXES
- Fixed a bug that caused the Dispel and Mass Dispel spells to freeze the game.
- Fixed a crash that occured due to the Aftermath spell.
- Fixed several bugs with the Blight debuff that caused creatures to die at improper times.
- Fixed a bug with the buff/debugg catalog that allowed the player to talk to Katarina while it was open.
- Fixed a bug that prevented equipped artifacts from showing up on the disenchantment list if the artifact had no empty stat slots.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from being able to select a Realm level that contained "0" as one of its digits (such as 10 or 105).
- Fixed a bug that was introduced in the last patch that caused shrine effects and consumable items to grant 10x the intended amount of bonus stats.
- Fixed a bug on Android/iOS that caused the game to thank the player for purchasing it after minimizing and then re-focusing the game.
- Fixed a bug with certain battle events that caused them to be applied multiple times in a single battle.
- Fixed several display issues where some items had the wrong names.
- Fixed several cases that allowed on-death abilities such as Resurrection Code to activate multiple times at once.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to be able to diffuse particles from creatures that should only be obtainable from Power Spells and the Emblem Shop.
- Fixed a bug that caused players to be able to walk quickly as if they have the Crown of Haste after purchasing the Pocket Dumpling.
- Fixed an issue with the touch controls when casting spells on your own creatures that caused them to become unresponsive temporarily.
- Fixed several instances where battle messages would tell you that a buff or debuff was applied but the name of it would be blank.
- Fixed a bug that prevented artifacts from being spawned with several different types of properties.
- Fixed a bug on Windows/Mac that caused the game window to resize improperly when toggling from fullscreen to windowed mode.
- Fixed several crashes related to collecting loot - particularly Minor Sigils.
- Corrected several materials that were added in the last patch - their names were inconsistent with previous materials and they were not the correct rarity.
- Fixed a bug that caused single-target friendly spellcasting to sometimes ignore input.

v2.0.1   8)

Quote
The update will show up for Humble Bundle customers, Android users, and iOS users whenever it's approved by the respective companies.

A huge thanks to our testers for helping to make this sequel-sized patch a successful one. This appears to be our most stable release to date, not to mention the most feature-rich. There's more to come, but for now, enjoy!

GENERAL

- Almost all of the game's graphics have been redone. The remaining old graphics (some NPCs and some creatures) will be redone for the next patch.
- Added over 100 new creatures to the game.

  - Several of these creatures are only obtainable by completing certain tasks around the castle.
  - Also added 10 new creature tier upgrades to the castle.
  - Reshuffled the creatures unlocked with each tier.
  - Changed the creatures obtained from Powerspells and Bynine's shop.
- New Feature: Royalty Points. Each time you gain a level or complete a Duty, you will receive a certain amount of Royalty Points.
  - These points can be spent in one of three categories of your choice: Character, Creature, or Perk.
  - The "Character" category allows you to increase your mana pool, increase your spell slots, manipulate your power balance minimum/maximum, unlock new features/bonuses, and much more.
  - The "Creature" category allows you to increase your creatures' stats or grant them special bonuses in combat.
  - The "Perks" category is different depending on which of the 5 classes you chose at the start of the game. Each class has 5 unique perks that are intended to change your playstyle.
  - You cannot reset points invested in the Character or Creature categories. You can reset points invested in the Perk category by using a class-changing item from Bynine.
  - Royalty Points are rewarded retroactively, so if you already have a save file you will probably have a lot of points you can spend immediately.
  - To spend Royalty Points, go to your Character sheet and follow the instructions.
- Maximum Spellbook Slots and Maximum Rituals no longer increase with your character's level - instead, these values are increased by investing Royalty Points into certain bonuses.
  - When you load a legacy save file, the scrolls in your spellbook will be placed back into your inventory so you will need to re-equip them.
  - When you load a legacy save file, you will be given a temporary increase to your Maximum Rituals if you have too many rituals already in progress.
- New Online Feature: Daily Power Spells. Each day you can now cast one free, instant Power Spell. The amount of power invested is random.
  - You must unlock this feature by completing a new upgrade in the War Room, available at level 26.
- Added a "Save & Continue" option to the menu. This option is unavailable for Hardcore Mode players.
- Added a new option (Options --> Gameplay) to change the font style to the one we were using prior to patch 1.3.0. It's larger now so it still works with the new user interface.
- Added experimental support for additional types of gamepads (many of the most popular ones were already supported).
- You can no longer sacrifice cores or convert them into Minor Sigils if they are "special" cores (obtained through events, power spells, Bynine, etc).
- The game engine has been updated and loading times should now be much faster.

BATTLE

- Luck (stat) has been revamped.
  - Now when creatures attack, there is a chance the attack will be either a "mortal" or "glancing" blow.
  - Mortal blows cause an attack to deal extra damage, glancing blows cause an attack to deal less damage.
  - The chance for a mortal blow and the damage bonus associated with it increases based on the amount of Luck the attacker has greater than that of its target.
  - The chance for a glancing blow increases and the damage mitigation associated with it increases based on the amount of Luck the defender has greater than that of its attacker.
  - Several new abilities react with mortal and glancing blows.
- Added 5 new buffs/debuffs.
- Enemies now have far fewer spells.
- Slightly reduced the defense penalty incurred from provoking.

CASTLE

- You must now find Bynine in a Realm - he is no longer unlocked by default at the start of the game. After you find him, he'll move in to the castle forever.
- Added 15 new upgrades that allow you to improve various facilities in the castle, including the blacksmith, enchanter, gem temple, and power spells.
- Rewrote all the dialogue for NPCs in the castle. They all provide useful game hints now.
- Decreased the granite cost of all castle upgrades.

CREATURES

- Rebalanced most abilities.
Nothing was weakened or reworked, just some numerical increases.
- Rebalanced several buffs and debuffs.
- Hounds are now Death creatures (previously Nature).
- Slimes are now Chaos creatures (previously Sorcery).
- Smogs are now Chaos creatures (previously Sorcery).
- Wyverns are now Sorcery creatures (previously Chaos).

DUTIES

- Completing a Duty no longer rewards resources or energy, but still grants items and experience. To compensate, Duties now also reward 1 Royalty Point.

ITEMS

- Added over 100 new crafting materials.
- Added over 100 new Major Sigils.
- Added 2 new artifact properties.

- When you find an artifact, it now has a small chance to have a legendary property applied to it already.
- Adjusted the drop rate of all items (too many Bronze Tickets were dropping, for example).

REALMS

- Traveling Merchants can now be found in Realms. They have the potential to sell almost any item in the game, but at a steep price.
  - These merchants are designed to give you better control over your luck when it comes to acquiring the items you want.

- Added 8 new interactable objects to various Realms.
- Added 5 new types of Duties.
- Added 1 new shrine effect.
- Enemies now have a 0% chance to spawn with artifacts at realm level 1.

SPELLS

- Spell mechanics have been revamped.
  - Goal: make spells more useful against normal creatures and less overpowered when used against Nether Creatures.
  - The effectiveness of most damaging and healing spells now scales with a new character stat called Spell Power.
  - Spell Power can be increased by leveling up your character or by investing Royalty Points into relevant perks.
  - Nether Creatures no longer have an innate 50% resistance to spells. Their higher health is more than enough to mitigate damaging spells now.
  - Your character's class no longer reduces the mana cost of spells in that class by 50%. Instead, spells that you cast from that class are now much more potent.

BUG/CRASH FIXES

- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when loading a save file.
- Fixed several silent crashes that occured when traveling to a new Realm level.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the final blacksmith forging upgrade from displaying in the upgrade menu.
- Fixed an issue where Dye items were not saved properly.
- Fixed a display issue when enchanting an artifact.
- Fixed a bug that caused certain realm events to reset upon turning in an overworld quest.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the resource bonus from certain shrine effects from working properly.
- Fixed several bugs related to on-death abilities.
- Fixed a bug with the "Grant Buff" artifact property that caused summoned minion-based buffs to not be applied properly.
- Fixed a bug with the Confused debuff that caused certain abilities to activate at incorrect times.
- Fixed a bug with the Burn debuff that prevented it from increasing in potency over time.
- Fixed a bug with some spells that caused them to target the wrong creature.
- Fixed a bug that allowed the player to sometimes gain rewards from sigils even if they failed to beat the sigil encounter.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes allowed dead enemies to attack.

v2.0.6

- Enemies now scale by your creatures' experience points rather than level.
- The strength of enemy Nether Creatures now scales based on your character level.
  - They should be much easier at lower levels, and much more difficult at higher levels.
- You can now hold down the E key (PC/Mac) or A button (Android/iOS) in battle to quickly cycle through battle messages.
- Updated graphics for more NPCs.
- Gem Boxes have been recolored to look more consistent with the rest of the game.
- Changed the name of several Royalty Point bonuses to make it easier to find what you're looking for.
- The smooth font is now the default font.

ABILITIES
- IMPORTANT: Your creatures can now benefit from multiple copies of the same ability. If not, it will now say so in its ability description.
  - Example: Gust Aura gives all your creatures a 15% chance to dodge attacks. If you have two creatures with Gust Aura, the game will now give your creatures a 15% chance to dodge an attack, and if that fails, it will give your creatures another 15% chance to dodge the attack.
  - However, you cannot stack abilities by giving a creature an artifact that grants the same ability as its innate ability.
- Reworked several abilities. Many received simple numerical tweaks, so only abilities that were reworked are included in these patch notes.
- Amalgamation: At the start of this creature's turn, your creatures lose 25% of a random stat and gain 40% of a random stat.

v2.0.10

Quote
GENERAL
- Added a new type of item: Handfuls. These items are extremely common and contain a small amount of resources.
  - These items can be found in chests, as rewards for completing Duties, and in many other places.
  - These items "open" themselves when they are acquired for the sake of simplicity.
- Added a new option to the Gem Temple: Upgrade. This option allows you to increase your gems' levels in exchange for essence.
- You can now cast Alteration spells while in the castle, and these spells now work more flexibly than before.
- Greatly improved loot allocation.
  - Players in low Realm levels are no longer destined to find only garbage.
  - Players in high Realm levels now have a higher chance to find BETTER items, not necessarily MORE items.
  - This method should cut down on the overall quantity of items clogging your inventory.
  - Drop rates will be tweaked in the future based on player feedback, so don't worry if things aren't perfect quite yet!
- Smogs, Phase Warrior, Storms, and Doom Fortresses have new graphics.
- Reduced the level requirement and granite cost for several key upgrades, such as the Blacksmith and Enchanter.
- Reduced the level requirement for several early Castle Quests. This should prevent the need to grind levels early on.
- Resource satchels now grant significantly more resources than before.
- Enemy Nether Creatures will not be quite as powerful in early levels when you have no choice but to fight them, such as for Duties.
- Adjusted several Major Sigils to be more challenging (thanks, VagrantSun!)
- Added internal support for Steam achievements. There are currently 249 achievements. An achievement interface for non-Steam users will be added at a later time on all platforms.
- Touch control options are now hidden for Windows/Mac users.

ABILITIES
- Adaptation (Regal Golem) now grants 100% more stats than before.
- Countervail (Diamond Imling) is no longer limited to only working the first time the creature's partner dies.
- Death Pact (Blood Reaper) now creates a Barrier based on the slain creature's Maximum Health rather than Current Health.
- Final Oblation (Mouth of Hell) has been reworked: After defending, creature dies and deals damage to all enemies equal to 200% of its missing health.
- Netherbane (Djinn Arcanomancer) has been reworked: Enemy Nether Creatures always have Cripple and Weak.
- Unholy Legend (Witch Doctor Necromancer) is no longer limited to only working the first time a creature dies.

BATTLE
- Creatures of a certain class no longer deal bonus damage to a different class.
  - Each creature class typically has lower defense against a certain class anyway, so this bonus damage made battles unnecessarily tedious.

USER INTERFACE
- When you upgrade a Royalty Point perk, it now spends as many points as needed to increase the perk's rank rather than allocating only 1 point at a time.
- The Action Queue in battle should now have better text alignment.

BUG/CRASH FIXES
- Fixed a bug that caused cats to walk backward.
- Fixed several bugs/crashes associated with position-based abilities.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a creature died in battle.
- Fixed a bug that caused the enchanter to sometimes think that a rare artifact material property was legendary.
- Fixed a small graphical issue with certain wall tiles in the Sorcery realm.
- Fixed a bug that caused enemy creatures to cap at level 20000.
- Fixed a bug with the Nightmare Golem's Bad Dreams ability that caused it to immediately wake up its target.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Wyvern Skystalker's "Upheavel" ability to afflict the wrong creatures with Scorn.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players with Castle Quests disabled to have access to certain upgrades much sooner than intended.
- Fixed a bug that caused a certain Life Realm battle event to heal dead creatures.
- Fixed a bug with the Armageddon spell that could occasionally cause the game to freeze.
- Fixed several bugs with the Soulstone Splinter ability.
- Fixed a bug with the Razorsharp ability that caused attacks to sometimes bounce when the original attack did no damage.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from casting a Daily Powerspell on the same day that they unlocked this feature.
- Fixed several bugs that could cause artifacts to end up with blank properties.
- Fixed a bug that caused extraction Duties to sometimes require you to extract from creatures that cannot be extracted from.
- Fixed a bug that caused certain Duties related to Gump Mummies to not give credit to the player for killing them.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when using the final consumable item in your inventory.
- Fixed a bug with the Adaptation ability that caused it to not grant buffs in certain realms.
- Added a safety check to prevent crashes when saving the game.

v2.1.0   8)

Quote
We are pleased to announce the release of our first major patch for Siralim since it was released on Steam. In addition, 10 Steam Trading cards have been added and the game is now available on Linux and SteamOS. Enjoy!

General
Steam Trading Cards have been added - there are 10 to collect in total!
Siralim is now available on Linux and SteamOS.
Added 12 new Steam achievements.
Added 1 new legendary crafting material.
Arena no longer awards treasure. You can now earn Arena Points for each match you beat.
Arena Points can be spent at a new NPC in the Arena lobby. Prizes include random legendary materials, pills, nether orbs, arena tickets, and much more.
Arena matches now become much more difficult with each consecutive match you beat to prevent players from having to spend as much time in the arena.
Arena balance is still a work in progress (in terms of rewards and difficulty) so please be sure to leave feedback after you get a chance to try out these changes!
Minor Sigils and Major Sigils now stack.
Minor Sigils are now named after their leader's race, for example: Minor Sigil of the Golem.
Minor Sigil fights are now led by a random Nether Creature from the sigil's respective race.
Upon defeating a Minor Sigil, you now have a chance to obtain the sigil's leader's respective Major Sigil.
The "Create Minor Sigil" option in the Cores menu now creates a Minor Sigil belonging to those cores' respective race.
Your legacy Minor Sigils will be converted to a random race when you load your save file for the first time.
Decreased the drop rate of Minor Sigils.
Pocket Dumpling can now be activated or deactivated without discarding it.
Pocket Dumpling now tries to use the last consumable item that you used manually. You can set it back to random using a new menu option.
Certain objects such as igloos, nomad tents, and scrolls now disappear entirely instead of just fading out after you interact with them.
The library now includes catalogs for all the abilities and spells you've discovered. Spells are added when a new scroll is added to your inventory. Abilities are added when a new core or legendary material are added to your inventory.
The list of buffs/debuffs and the creature bestiary can now be found on book shelves in the library rather than by talking to the librarian herself.
The librarian can now change the name of your character, the names of your creatures, and your gender.
Mimics are now a bit more powerful at higher Realm levels.
Mimics now have a chance to drop 1 of 5 exclusive legendary crafting materials when slain.
Treasure Golem chest spawning is now much more reliable.
Kemikal has been killed off since the librarian can now do everything he did before.

Abilities
Cradle to the Grave: After dying, 100% chance to resurrect with 1 health and move to a random position on the Action Queue. Chance decreases by 20% each time this effect happens. Chance cannot fall below 20%.
Cradle to the Grave previously always had a 100% chance to activate, only one creature could have this ability per team, and it would not activate if its owner was the last creature alive. I realize this is a massive change for a commonly-used creature, but the ability was obviously quite overpowered. With that said, I'm open to feedback on this change.
Intimidation: no longer works on non-normal battles such as Sigils.
Penant Reprisal: After being attacked, deal damage to the attacker equal to 100% (up from 50%) of this creature's Defense.
Pica: no longer works on non-normal battles such as Sigils.
Ransack: If this creature is alive at the end of battle, you gain 25% (up from 15%) more resources for each of your living creatures. Ability does not stack (previously stacked).

Buffs/Debuffs
Rage: decreased chance to miss from 50% to 40%.

Items
Quills no longer allow a spell scroll to have more than 10 charges.

Royalty Points
Raid (Nature): decreased chance to start at the top of the Action Queue per rank from 4% to 3%.

Spells
Greatly increased the damage and potency of most spells.
Reworked several spells so that they are more useful.
Reduced the mana cost of most spells. Some spells no longer have a mana cost.
Decreased enemy Spell Power.

Bug/Crash Fixes
Fixed a crash that could occur if the player pressed the confirm key repeatedly before or after engaging in certain Duty-related battles.
Fixed a bug and subsequent crash that could occur after a battle where the player would float upward uncontrollably.
Fixed a bug with the Cataclysm ability that caused the Burn debuff it applied to deal much lower damage than expected.
Fixed several crashes that could occur as a result of players pressing keys too quickly in certain menus.
Fixed a bug that caused post-turn abilities and effects to be ignored when a creature used the Extract command.
Fixed a bug that caused the Attunement ability to always be activate even when the player didn't use a shrine.
Fixed a bug that caused the Boulder Jewel and Sandstone Jewel materials to both grant the same ability.
Really this time: fixed the bug that caused treasure chests from the Treasure Golem to spawn outside of the boundaries of the realm.

General
Added a new option: Battle Message Auto-Scroll. This option allows battle messages to scroll automatically after a set amount of time, from 0.5 seconds to 3 seconds.
The "Flee" command is now called "Forfeit" in battles that you cannot run away from. Forfeiting a battle instantly kills all of your creatures.
Improved several Major Sigil encounters (thanks, Vagrant!).
Reduced the health of most enemy Nether Creatures.
Reduced enemy Spell Power scaling.

Abilities
Blood Dance: While defending, your creatures take 99% less damage (previously 1 damage) from attacks and this creature takes 100% more damage. Does not affect creatures that also have this ability.
Call of the Tundra (reworked): When attacked, 30% chance to dodge and decrease enemy's Speed by 40%.
Catching Fire: now has a maximum duration multiplier of 10 turns.
Darkness Surrounding: Creature recovers 50% (up from 25%) health at the start of its turn.
Death Beckons: now overrides the Taunt buff.
Bearer of Needs: After attacking, 100% chance (up from 40%) to heal one of your creatures for 30% health, then heal each of your other creatures at random. Amount healed is reduced by 5% each time it heals a creature.
Electroheart: After dying, enemies are afflicted with Stagger for 3 turns (up from 2) and Stun for 1 turn (down from 2).
Icy Tomb: After an enemy attacks, defends, or provokes (previously just defends or provokes), 15% chance (down from 50%) to afflict it with Frozen.
Instigation: Name changed to Rise to Fall. After provoking, remove all debuffs and gain 15% Current and Maximum Health for each debuff removed.
Ransack: If this creature is alive at the end of battle, you gain 15% (down from 30%) more resources for each of your living creatures.
Release the Panic: now also causes the Imling to recover 20% health.
Slumber Cloud (reworked): After being attacked, afflict enemy with Sleep.
Topaz Attunement: Creature and the creatures in its row (previously all creatures) start battle at the top of the Action Queue and have Critical for 1 turn.

Buffs/Debuffs
Proficiency: now also grants a bonus to Speed.

Bug/Crash Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused Bynine to offer the wrong cores for sale.
Enemies that spawn outside of the boundaries of the Realm will now re-spawn until they're where they should be.
Fixed a bug that caused the speed shrine buff to not work.
Fixed a bug that caused the Treasure Golem to prevent certain Duties from being completed.
Fixed a bug that caused the Pestilent Thorns ability to apply poison based on the opposing creature's Attack.
Fixed a bug that allowed the Stop Time spell to still be obtained from Power Spells.
Fixed a bug that caused the Treasure Golem to sometimes drop treasure outside of the boundaries of the Realm.
Fixed a rare bug that caused the player to be teleported to the arena after dying in a normal battle.
Fixed a crash that could occur after certain event battles.
Fixed a bug with the Unguided Entity ability that caused it to be able to deal more damage than advertised.
Fixed a bug that prevented the Unicorn Vivifier's Major Sigil from dropping.
Fixed a bug that caused certain healing effects to allow creatures that were killed by Doom to come back to life.
Fixed a bug that sometimes allowed creatures with Link to never die.
Fixed a bug that prevented portals from being created in a Daily Realm if the player fled from battle.
Fixed a bug that caused the Attunement ability to ignore the effects of the Speed shrine buff.
Fixed a crash that could occur under rare circumstances in most menus.
