Hi Eponick, can you describe what the potions do? Except for the healing potion and the warp potion, which are pretty obvious.
Also, I could not figure out what the Levels give you. Do you get extra HP or extra speed?
Also, I wish there was a way to drop bad potions, becuase without that, the inventory gets filled with things like dumbing potions pretty quickly. I don't want to drink them, but I have to.
Basically everything goes towards the final score and that's what the game was supposed to be about. Fast paced roguelike action where you try to get the highest score possible. You can play through a round in less than 5 minutes after you get the hang of it.
The Aging Drink adds 50 turns to your total, while the youth drink removes 75.
The warp drink teleports you to a random spot on the map, predetermined at the beginning of the round. The Dumbing drink removes 2 levels (No other stats), while the EXP drink adds a level.
Vile Ale heals you for 3-13 HP, and the Strong Ale heals for 8-33, set at the beginning of the round.
Levels give you 100x points toward your total score at the end of the round.
Leveling up randomly adds 0-3 Attack each level, and 0-7 max HP.
The reasoning behind not being able to drop potions and having to use them was that you would have to choose what you wanted to use vs the possibility of getting a more valuable item. Maybe it was a silly idea, wouldn't be hard to add that feature for a future release though.
Technically speaking it is possible to get a score of over 110,000 in one round, though I have never personally gotten more than 21k.
Thanks for checking out my game, by the way!
