Think you could put together some optional smaller download packages? Like the full game, the game without sound/music? Maybe even an ascii only version?
I probably can, but if I offered an ASCII only version, I also had to offer both ASCII only and graphics patches. Or patches only for the graphics version, but replacing the ASCII version completely. As I get easily confused by masses of files and archives, I would probably make many mistakes -- or it would take hours to prepare.
Overall, I had to offer
"graphics without music/sound"
"graphics with music/sound"
"ascii without music/sound"
"ascii with music/sound"
for all 3 OS, i.e. 12 packages, plus 1 for source code. If I have 2 updates a month, 26 packages a month. And for all I have to update the website and the links.
AND I also have to test the packages -- I usually download everything by myself, extract it and test it, to see that everything works.
In the end this usually leaves me with at least half a day of packaging and testing. Too much time. Other things in real life are more important. Sorry.
Also, is there a way to get true fullscreen? I set the forcefullscreen = true, but it doesn't go fullscreen. It just opened a slightly larger window.
First, this only works on Windows and Linux. Second, I could only test it on Windows 7 and on the previous Ubuntu, where it worked. Any more details?
