So after what seems a long hiatus I've finally returned to bring you all a new update! It is a rather big one, enough to warrant an increase from version 8.x to 9.x. The big new things are talents, bonusses which work a little like World of Warcraft talents, or D&D's feats. You may start with some, humans start with more (yes, the humans needed a boost ;)), and you may learn new ones by leveling up. Of course the RNG still has some role to play.


Also the exchange of bone files (i.e. the files which store your deceased adventures) have been made much more easy, allowing users to share their corpses with others.


Patch R 9.01 Notes:


-A squared played now correctly leaves a squary trail when hasted.

-Minimap now shows entrance and exits even if they are immersed by lava, water etc. or stuck inside a wall.

-Lowered the price for gambling somewhat.

-Added several item prefixes that alter shop and gamble prices.

-Added Mage of the Cloak class.

-Fixed a small bug when wishing for a shop.

-Added Captain Jack's Compass.

-Cause of death can now be examined from player corpses, this only works for corpses generated since this update.

-Player corpses now have a chance to have an accompanying shrine dedicated to the deceased player.

-Added Shrine of Forbearance and Lore Shrine.

-You can now import and export bone files and as such share deceased adventurer data with other players.

-Items taken from corpses now contain some information of whose corpse it was etc. This way one can trace the history of some items that have been handed-down on many an occasion.

-Made Dread Touch disease somewhat less severe.

-Added over 300 talents to learn, access them via alt/shift + page up (yes I am running out of keyboard buttons [;)] ).

-Fixed a long standing exploit involving equipping items, vertigo and the player increasing his/her melee damage indefinately.

-Dispel Magic now correctly recognizes the caster of an Anti-Magic Screen spell.

-Modified description of items that increase all non-physical resistances to say so instead of saying to increase all resistances.

-Highmen now correctly see invisible creatures.

-Some basic settings (such as autopickup) can now also be set in the global_settings.tri file.

-Fixed a problem causing the 77th Staff of Getter to not be working correctly.

-Fixed an error which caused the spell info for the Ice Shards spell to underestimate the damage caused.

-Humans now start with additional talents.

Wow...that's a whole lotta talents to start.   8)  Not to mention a new class, the fixes, tweakings, etc.  Hello indeed 9th generation!

-The Stoneshield Sallet now correctly also provides electrical resistance and does not increase fire resistance twice.

Heh, this has been an odder a mini-streak of updates for Triangle Wizard than any other generation of it has seen in terms of speed and bulk.  Still, progress is progress!   8)

-Added special bonusses and events when playing on Triangle Wizard Day.

-Added the Dungeon of Unexpected Epicness.

Also someone reported seeing Triangle Wizard hats on monsters.. that has been fixed ;).

Patch R 9.06 Notes:

-Monsters will no longer wear Triangle Wizard hats when it is not Triangle Wizard day.

-Prismatic Sphere & Watcher will cast their spells at proficiency level one at the very least.

-Made the Resthome for the Elderly and Infirm somewhat more likely to be present.

-Added the Triangle Wizard Cocktail Party random level.

-Magical Staff of the Gathering now correctly only works 10% of the time.

-Added some things that only play a role on the 27th of October.
