Well. It is not an announcement of new version, but announcement of  FFHtR  plans for ARRP 2012.
We found that one more fantasy roguelike is damn boring thing, so we made this sprint releases to test our skills and press some motivation, then we took a break for brain storm.
So, it is time to uncover some secrets:
Here is the results, FFHtR would get some strategic flavor, your avatar would have goal to bring hell to game world and of course, it would need more strategic planing, plots and cover operations, then just dungeon exploration.
We would try to beat 0.1 up to ARRP.

Hello again!
We are in dare need for new teammates!
Right now, our team consists of three guys, pixelart and coding mostly.
So, right now, FFHtR, technically quite mature, but really doesn't have real gameplay.  :(
We really need roguelike fans, who can join us and take part in world development,
cites, hamlets, dungeons, creatures, artifacts, quests, items, events etc design!
It is really interesting part of development, but hey, extremely time consuming!  ;)

So, check here or via P.M., if you want to participate gameplay development of FFHtR!  ::)

main patch objectives:
* new Inventory looks.
* reworked inventory mechanics.

bonus changes:
* Pathfinding speed up.
* Intelligent creatures would gather around campfires in the caves.
* Different "unarmed" attack types. (kicks, punches, horns, bites etc). Fights looks better.
* Information about upcoming NPC items.
* Few screen tweaks.
* Months moved into .txt files.
* new v-menu. (icon based).
* Item brands can give temporary perks. (and temporary perks itself).
* new items brands.

There was a heavy spam problem, so I had to disable it... sadly haven't had time to work on it.

Anyone could provide a good solution for this? we had reCaptcha but it was beaten; if someone could provide a modified login script for mediawiki 1.16.5, it would be great. (With a simple question spambots don't know)

yep. we had same problem at RlgClub. robots breaking recapcha in no time. I was banning them half dozen per day.
But it was solved when admin put questions at registration.
Question about roguelikes. Obvious for fellow rogueliker. like who created Dungeon Crawl? What is the name of Biscup etc
It is beyond the ability of spam bot and if you don't know the answer for such simple question you are not needed at Basin.  ;) ;) ;)

Hmm, as I know this game is heavily buged, but playable and winnable, and NPC are really eager to kill you.

I must confess, I didn't played Ragnarok for a long time, but there are lot of RLGclub folk here.
Maybe, they will participate our discussion, I had left link to this topic.

Hmm. It sound stupid, maybe.
But what do you think about some sort of roguelike streams and VOD's?

For the first moment, I thought that roguelike youtube channel is like Charlie Chaplin Internet radio, but on the second thought It looks like worthy thing!
