I don't use version numbers in the usual way, because DCSS uses git tags to create titles and check for save compatibility - therefore when I want to push to the servers, I advance the version number regardless of how much or how little has changed. The middle number, ie 1.X.0 indicates a significant change such as a new species or the spell library update.

So anyway, a pile of small updates have gone by and we're now at version 1.5.4!

Many improvements to the Bearkin species, though I still consider Bearkin and Plutonian unfinished and in need of work. Humans, Kobolds, Deep Elves, Ogres, and Formicids have fun little tweaks that are described in the species selection menu when you start a new game. This marks a shift from describing changes in the README and changelogs, which some people don't read at all, to making sure things are described clearly in the game.

Happy crawling!

Release 5 (with arbitrary version number 2.99) corrects the teleport scroll crash that was plagueing all cross-compiled windows builds of Yiufcrawl and Hellcrawl. New CHANGELOG-HELLCRAWL.md on github, but it's also in bite-size form on the downloads/release page too! :)

Hey awesome! Thanks for posting this. The more the merrier! You can play it online at http://crawl.gnollcrawl.tk/ and CPO too. Gnollcrawl tends to be a little more up to date. I'll try to remember to keep an eye on yet another cool forum you've got here! :)
