Early Dev / MonsterSeas - Fantasy Marine Roguelike
« on: December 25, 2016, 07:42:27 PM »
Hi! I'd like to show you my game - MonsterSeas. Action take place at sea as you steer a ship fighting sea monsters (mainly). Unlike other turn-based roguelikes rotation of the player is really important. You can shoot independently from starboard and larboard, and of course you can't sail against the wind.

The game is still work in progress. I'm actively developing it whenever I have time. Any feedback is welcome ;)

Features:
  • randomly generated levels
  • different biomes (two, for now)
  • some items are randomly generated, it'll be improved
  • different ship classes with special abilities
  • (!) internet (local) cooperation mode for 2 players (I'm proud of that one :D)
  • small plotline (definitely will be improved)
  • other cool stuff I can't think of right now

Download it here! (mirror #1, mirror #2)

Traditional Roguelikes (Turn Based) / MonsterSeas
« on: November 08, 2016, 09:28:53 PM »
Welcome! After years of learning C++ (for fun!) I finally have enough skills to create a game. And so it is - MonsterSeas. It's a roguelike (turnbased, permadeath, procedural generation, hard difficulty, closed levels etc) although all the action takes place at the sea and not in a dungeon. Player has to consider wind, ship speed, rocks...

The game isn't finished yet, I post it online to receive as much comments as possible so I will know what to improve, what you like about it and what not. I don't really know what else could I write here. If you want more information i wrote a little article here, but it'll be the best to just give it a try and download it here :)
