I haven't played it enough yet to have much to say about the gameplay. It seems to work fine, though I didn't encounter much as I played.

Two immediate thoughts. Firstly, I like the visual style a lot. Secondly, on a more 'constructive criticism' note, I think you have far too much text up front. No one wants to read a novella before getting to the game. I'd suggest seeing if you can make it a lot more succinct while retaining whatever you consider essential.

Promising start!

Nice work, though I don't understand any of it ;D Data analysis is beyond me.

It's not perfect (the creature descriptions are a bit subjective) but this is the document I use. It came with the 'easy setup' download I got from old-games.com.

I notice the Rogue Basin page for this game is called 'Zomie Rogue'. ;D Presumably a typo?

- IRLDB is back! https://blog.slashie.net/2017/01/10/irldb-international-roguelike-database-revived/

The 'database' link on Temple of the Roguelike and the 'searchable database' link on Rogue Basin both point to the old, dead IRLDB.

I don't know the game, but the /r/roguelikes subreddit is usually pretty good at identifying mystery games. It's worth asking over there.

Why can't you play the game and figure it out yourself. It's not available for your platform?

I don't think there's a publicly available playable version.

Traditional Roguelikes (Turn Based) / Re: Angband (Now at v4.1.1!)

The persistent levels thing is weird. I welcome options to customise the play experience, but I have to wonder why someone would play Angband and then turn off Angbandiness.  :o

Classic Roguelikes / Re: Wondering how to play "Hack" on Linux?
« on: November 13, 2017, 02:13:14 PM »
I'm not 100% confident in this because I don't use Linux, but try this (linked from one of the Nethack wikis) for a possibly Linux version of Hack.

Another title I remember enjoying was 'Prospector', a rare sci-fi variant. I'm not sure if it is still updated.

Prospector does get updates occasionally. They're infrequent, but evidently work is still being done.

Found some other quests at last. ;D

No, I've played a few more times since. I don't remember the details.

Yeah, the lack of content in the centre of the world is something that's going to need to get slowly addressed over time.  It's something that bothers me a lot, but I keep it there, and empty, as a reminder that I need to fill this in.  My hope is that by v1.0, there will be a lot more to do in the middle.

Was there a .dmp file for that crash?  If so, can you provide it to me? (dropbox link, google drive, whatever)

Ah, so it's just awaiting content, not intentionally designed that way? No rush then. :) I don't doubt that it will arrive in good time.

As to the .dmp, I assume it must be this one.

It could well be my crappy laptop that's responsible for this but just in case:

There are fixed areas that are in the exact same location game to game.  In general, that's where you should be looking.  And they tend to be around the "edges" of the world.

Oh, I see! Seems counterintuitive that everything interesting/important/useful is on the fringes, but maybe that's just me. It means you have to push past a load of generic dungeons and empty villages to find anything of note. I've spent a fair amount of time in SotW and I had come to assume that there was just nothing much out there.
