- This could be an unstable version because we changed all monsters to a linked list. Same has to be done for the items list. Right now this gives us no advantages but we will be able in the future to have more than one monster and more than one item per laby field. This also lays the basis for triggers what we need for the story mode and for multiplayer mode.
So please help us with testing out all the spells if they still work as expected
- fixed round-attack not being able to attack single monsters
- gave "sword of the Last Knight" the "magic" flag
- "monster lore" now can detect mimics
- made monsters spawning/regenerate for all level with a living player in it
- made crown of the sidhe use its variable power rating
- fixed typo preventing spell "extend" from working
- fixed pestilence + songs of sleep/suicide
- made nail pits damage boots
- made bard songs get 100% success even encumbered
- made "geistertanz" work with bow, melee and monsterlore
- save more player information in highscore table
And the game now has a Facebook group with a decent population to it thus far:

It occurs to me that a link to their actual site would ALSO be a good idea!

I was rather sure that this project was dead. Interesting.....

You may be thinking of an older/different version from awhile back---apparently there was something akin to forking that went down but not quite. This one is under a different language, has a team to it, and certainly seems lively with aims to get livelier. If one just adds up the elements of coffebreak, graphical, online, co-op, class variety----this SHOULD be much more known than it is versus other Coffeebreak stuff like DoomRL, Desktop Dungeons, and so on.

Again a game that @play could write about ... 8)

IIRC, I suggested it to Harris some months back. Then again, I think I suggested many things back at that point. If not, and as this is a beta'ish release with them changing up to this whole "linked list" thing that might've broke some things, perhaps the "next" version with everything hopefully confirmed to be functioning as intended would serve to be a better starting place for him.

Nice game! :)

Every time you go down to the next dungeon level you gain an experience level.. but if you fall down to the next level via pit trap, you don't gain the experience level and there's no way obtaining it (even finding the previous level stairs will not work).
Is this intended to happen?

I've just asked to Markus, the creator of Lost Labyrinth.. and he said: "this is intended. the trapdoors are meant to be the worst traps."!

Excellent to see him responding to your feedback, looks like you've given him some stuff to check to fix for next release too. Good work Skeletor! 8)

Thank you Brian!
I really like this game, I'm posting a lot of stuff on Markus' forums, hehehe! :-)

Hy everybody,
I am one of the creator's of laby and enjoyed reading this thread so far :)
Actually I want to solve the reported errors as fast as possible.
It seems we do not have too many bugs concerning the linked list. Laby is already quite complex
that its time consuming to test out everything ourselved. So we will always need your help in
finding the remaining bugs.
Laby is constantly evolving so new bugs will always show up.
But I think (hope?) laby is already quite stable and feature complete.
we are always working on the balancing of the game.
So all recommendations and new ideas will be taken as input and if they do not spoil the game we will try to implement them all.

Welcome Markus! 8) Good of you to drop by the Temple---stick around and explore as there are many interesting topics scattered across the boards.
Hopefully you will have lots of things solved in time for the next release, which will also hopefully show up nicely on Roguebasin and get the notice it deserves on the page. ;)
Ah, since I haven't quite gotten around to registering yet, I noticed one issue in the requests section I might be able to help with...or maybe not. I am running Win 7 64....so I suppose I could generally see if a 64-bit version would even run somewhat.
