So, have you grown attached to any roguelike apart from the major ones?
I remember doing a lot of exploration on DeadCold back then, a shame it is dead... Tales of Endorech: Magic Monsters is also a nice challenge, albeit the game is still incomplete.
I also liked Icey's War of Wizards, perhaps we could arrange an online tournament... who is interested?
-
i need to dl and try war of the wizards
-
I'd be interested in playing a War of Wizards tournament onlineif it weren't for the fact I use Linux and War of Wizards is Windows-only, as fas as I know.
I'll try it with wine later, though ;).
About new roguelikes, I have tried pretty much everything that runs in my Linux box... I'll have to try about my favourite, though, and maybe (and it's a very unlikely maybe :P) I'll try to do a review of it and others.

Well, I hope it works on wine... if you want we can test connections and give a quick play, so more people from linux may join the tournament ;)

Definitely Frozen Depths. It's been a while since a game has gotten me so addicted >:(
-
Yes, Frozen Depths is cool (literally hehe) It´s simple, but it just works nice.
It may seem too simple and too easy at first, but it really grows on you after a couple of games.

Frozen Depths is really good. I also like that 7 day RL "Scrap" a lot.
-
DoomRL brought me back into the world of roguelikes, after years of not playing much of anything.
It's still what I go back to.

I really like Mage Guild by Lukos Software. It's around the length of a coffee break RL, but it has a good amount of depth, and some nice attention to detail.
Frozen depths is fun too. I haven't been able to beat that one yet though.
