I just stumbled upon this game: http://www.asciisector.net I love how well this game's user interface is represented in ASCII only, it's really beautiful. Space exploration, shooting/trading game. Check it out! =)

I've played this. I make all my money going on a murderous rampage. I can kill the entire population of New Beijing and all I get is a hefty fine that no one tries to make me pay.

I could not figure out what was going on in this one. My biggest problem with sci-fi and space exploration games is that they have a strong tendency to add way too many unnecessary commands and make the game a lot harder to get into than it needs to be.

I have to try this one!
It strongly reminds me the wonderful old game Hard Nova.. one of my all time favourites.

Looks nice. Fun seeing ascii characters integrated into the interface like that.
Edit: Was awesome ^^
Has anyone tried Tachyon: The Fringe? Not a rogue-like, but was awesome. Somehow reminded me of this, although it's partially storyline oriented.

I played Privateer, but I have to tell you I didn't make it too far. :-(
