Title: Thea: the awakening
Post by: Gornova on July 21, 2016, 11:55:03 AM
Hi everybody,
I'd like to share with you guys some thoughts about this game (free demo!):

http://store.steampowered.com/app/378720/

Its a little rough gem, with:
- random generated world
- lot of events
- civilization like map
- "east-europe folklore fantasy", not classic one

I've found it intriguing and difficult, but in the end a good example how to mix different genres, what do you think guys ?

I'm not involved in any way and.. there is already a lot of commercial stuff around in this forum, so why this ?

I think he forgot that this is the Off Topic forum which is supposed to contain:

"Non-Roguelike stuff!"

This game is interesting to me, there are damn good commercial roguelikes and I generally don't like people who use "we" instead if "I" – it's disrespectful and arrogant.

I know only one, ADOM. It was not even a commercial roguelike before. And to be honest it's not that good.

I think you are right on this one. I shouldn't have used "we", what was I thinking? I know that there are young people who have no idea what a roguelike is and they can play these "roguelites" and think they are cool games. The Pokemon GO generation.

I'll take the Pokémon GO generation over a pretend programmer who insult all games not his when he's taken 21 years to produce nothing of value.

But they're social and the go outside and they aren't full of contempt and bitterness! Who could ever like them?

Oh, wow. Insulting comment from someone at internet. You know and I know and everyone knows how wrong you are. And you try to make it look like I was insulting someone. I don't have to do that, because I'm better than everyone else.

Yes, you are clearly better than everyone else. At being terrible.
