Title: PRIME - Few questions, help needed.

Hello,

Im just start play game named PRIME, im very like it but i cant find any necessary documentation, im dont know what alot of things is, and nowhere can read about it, is here anyone who know this game and can give me answers for few questions ?

As an author and programmer of PRIME, I probably know enough on gameplay. I won many times, although never with the Xel'Naga. The unofficial wiki died half a year ago leaving only RogueBasin present. There you have a few spoilers.

Yeah, im already check these spoilers but they dont fit me completly.
Im still dont know what boosts provide attributes str,int,etc i know they increase effectiveness of particual skills like programming,diffrend kinds of guns, etc, but i see nothing about increasing meele dmg, hp, hit chance, or something like that.Its the first thing what comes to my mind and i cannot find.

And any sludge vat instructions exists, i thing they are important thing in game cuz im spotted they very often but dont really know how to use they in effective way, they can provide only mutations ? how often i should drink from them ?

Third thing what come to my mind now is about these skills under 'E' key(in nethack+vi configuration), im cant find any description of what they are and what benefits can be granted by mastering particular ones.

Fourth is that i cant find description of particular mutations also.

These are four things what comes to my mind for that while.

Next thing is i dont know what boosts im receive from implants... Even if i identifed them, they have some description but im dont see any of my stat raises or nothing, implants explaination should be usefull

Let's see. For mutations, in the use mutant power hit TAB and mutant power letter in order. This will give precise information along with formulas for damage, duration and range. Some even have tables.

For skills in skill screen press TAB and skill letter. You should receive brief skill description.

For attributes - the only in-game help you get is when you get to chose attribute increase. Hit TAB in that menu.

Damage: you cannot increase it except for getting bigger/better gun, more strength for melee and wearing targeter goggles. Weapon skill value counts only for hit chance.

Vats: modeled on NetHack sinks. Drink until dry if you can handle occasional nasty surprise, unless you got message about toxicity. That means you got radiated, and drinking more is gambling with radiation sickness as jackpot. You can try pouring canisters into it to modify its healthiness. Code is contain - it is currently ed in vat.cpp; routine quaff from vat is nicely commented.

For implants there is no good spoiler at the moment. In fact, there should be two kinds of descriptions - technical and game lore. The first is not very developed at the moment.

Let's start with attribute implants:
adrenaline generator - STR
myfilament hypertensor - CON
motoric coordinator - DEX
reflex coordinator - AGI
cerebral coprocessor - INT

There is no implant for modifying PSI attribute.
More later. I need to start extending roguebasin or find hosting that will let me put a wiki there.

Now i found implant "optimized Ungooma, but i dont see that implant listed by you above, which one it is ?

It's possible to sell items? Simple drop items seems don't work.

e1: "you feel fatigued" message shown and CON drops. How to stop this and what is cause?
e2: OK, radiation.

e3: What is that strange 'You have not ranged weapon' message? It's displayed after attacking some enemies. It's bug? Or flavour which is incomprehensible to me?

That list above is incomplete, there is nineteen more implants. Once I finish the RogueBasin page on it I will link it. Otherwise it feels like a wasted effort. Ungooma is a parasite, a borderline useless implant.

'You're not wielding a ranged weapon' appears when you try to fire something that has no fire action defined. Is this the message you mean? I could not find anything in source code that would resemble what you quoted.

Yes, I had this message which I had in my mind. It's a bit weird, because I played as ninja with sword in hand; and this message was displayed after 'bumping' enemies - I didn't try to fire something.

What's about selling goods? It's possible?

Ah, you are playing a ninja! When you are camouflaged clerkbots do not see you dropping stuff and fail to make an offer. Make yourself visible and selling will be possible. Seems like camouflage feature works inconsistently.

Gray torc is useless implant too ? i haved search for names, in example gray torc in sources but i cant really found where attributes are signed to that item.

Gray torc gives telepathy of range three squares. Range increases further when you debug or optimize. See property.cpp for this.

Ok, this looks weird. Nothing was changed, game just started.

e: this 'corrupted' space is permanently white. When messages shows, background of text is black, but after disappearing letters whole space is white again.

e2: when I was entering [Esc] menu, area outside of options became white.

e3: after few moments white spaces disappears (also this in [Esc] menu), but PC ('@') still has white background

e4: ouh, again. It switches and looks like NE issue. (?)

e5: after restart bug is still present. New game with same class works good.

Found that bug. When player character is created the "tameness" variable is left uninitialized. This has character drawn in reverse and this is why creating new one helped. This bug is fixed. Also, I made sure to set right color when clearing message area.

I had no idea you could pour canisters into vats. Handy.
