Currently there are 3 games I'm really looking forward to play: Elite Dangeours, Mount & Blade Bannerlord and Ultima Ratio Regum.
What games are you really excited about?
-
URR, to be sure ;) I'd also be interested in trying Clockwork Empires when it comes.
As always,
Minotauros

I wasn't aware of Clockwork Empires. It does seem interesting! Yeah, I will definitely follow that one too.

Clockwork Empires, Civilization: Beyond Earth.
That's actually it, I think.
-
I can't think of any. Maybe next Zelda if it's not a fiasco like Skyward Sword.

My thanks to you both :). If you keep an eye on my blog, I'm coming pretty close to announcing something pretty big for URR's future development in a month or so, which is going to lead to a major acceleration in coding speed...

Give me one guess: Kickstarter ::)
Edit: Apparently I must be wrong since you said on your blog you aren't "allowed" to say more. Hm, only thing I can think of is someone is investing in the game privately now?! Why else would you not be allowed to say anything?

I was pretty excited for Shovel Knight. But it won't play on my computer. :'(

Maybe you've got an old NES lying around you could try ;)

LOL!

Ha, I hate to disappoint, but the doctorate is getting finished. Only a month or two away from my final submission now, though...
It is not a Kickstarter. I SHALL SAY NO MORE until this week's update, but it does amount to a year's full-time development, basically, and in an environment that I think will be immensely productive.

It's a pretty fun game. Use a controller for sure though, the controls are just a bit too fiddly with they keyboard.

Played through Shovel Knight and must agree that it's a cut above. Worth $15 in my opinion. Fun music and a lot of polish. The Knight in question exchanges quips with enemy knights before doing battle. The last boss fight is very satisfying. Two shovels up!

Many of the games already mentioned are on my list. One additional game I really want to see done is Before (http://www.beforegame.net/ (http://www.beforegame.net/)). Its done by Bill Lowe and Päl Trefall. Both have been active in the roguelike community previously, although this game is a God-game with the aim of survival for a tribe of stone-age humans. I absolutely love the concept and the aesthetic these two have put together.
-
I just added two more games to my wish list: Wasteland 2 and Alien Isolation.
Wasteland 2 might be the "real" successor to Fallout 2 we all have been waiting for; it is in fact being developed by some former members of the original Fallout 2. I'm really really excited about this one.
Alien Isolation might be the real Alien experience I've always dreamed of. Not only I'm a huge fan of the Alien series but also always wanted to play a survival-horror around it, instead of a common shooter. It looks marvelous and well executed; I just hope they don't ruin it.

I just checked it out. I love the concept and the art, too.

There is a new trailer to get you excited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NSfMVYlhHA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NSfMVYlhHA).
I don't think it gives any new information, but it sure does make me want to play the game!

I do not like games. I play only in casinos.

But casino games are still games.
