Hi, with my partner Ygwee, we've participated in the 7DRL for the second time. We worked with Pixelatedcrown, who did the pixel art.
Our game: Lava Waker. It's a rogue-like with RPG elements on an hex grid.
I wrote a post mortem on the 7DRL blog with more details about the game:
Lava Walker postmortem (http://7drl.org/2014/03/26/lava-walker-post-mortem/)
And you can play here:
Play Lava Walker (http://stormalligator.com/demo/7drl_2014.php)
We're very happy with it: it's finished, has a lot of content, not that many bugs... And we'd like to expend it, notably with features we had in mind for the 7DRL but that we couldn't do in the time frame.
- Evolutive world with different factions. You make the allies and enemies that you choose.
- Evolving NPC. They react to what you do or what happens in the world.
- Enemies with a more subtle behavior (currently, they just run towards you)
- A craft system
- Different possible builds (currently, you just equip the obvious best item)
- and more?
We hope you'll like the game and we'd love to have your feedback about the game and what you think we could improve :)

I only had a chance to play about 15 minutes, but so far I really like it. It's well made, looks good, and it's interesting. I am curious to see how the world evolves when I get to play more.

This game is huge for a 7drl and it looks great. Combat seems shallow and easy, and the game generously rewards grinding. The elemental resistance system doesn't seems to improve on a single defense stat in any way. The special moves are cool. It's always nice to see a strong relationship between movement and offense.
At one point some skeletons somehow got onto the same hex as me and I couldn't attack them or move away without using a special ability. Also, my charge ability is permanently stuck on cooldown and That's Not Okay.
I'll post more later.

You really ought to be able to examine an item's stats by mousing over it without picking it up.
