Hi, I made a game for the 7drl challenge and I just realized that I had to post it here.
So here you are: Power Grounds (http://www.axaxaxas.com).
Also here is the rogue temple review form (http://7drl.roguetemple.com/jsp/reviewGame.jsp?gameId=478).
The game is about developing a strategy as you progress through the levels. You have to fight monster by using abilities fixed on tiles in the ground. There are many viable strategies.
Changelog for the updated version:
- Balance: Freeze lasts for 4 turns instead of 5
- Bugfix: The game now runs on windowed mode for mac users
- Small feature: You can now use enter or spacebar to start the game
- A couple more small bugfixes
Thanks for playing!

This is actually a pretty fun game. I found myself losing track of the time while I was playing it. Kudos :)
I played the updated version by the way. No bugs found.

Glad you like it! I'm working on an iOS version right now :-)

Any chance of an android version down the pipeline? Maybe with more levels? :P
-
For what it's worth, add my vote for a future Android release as well! This game is brilliant, and I'd love to play it on my Nexus 5! (Worth a look at Unity to handle multi-platform, if you haven't)
-
After the iOS version I will consider porting it to Android, but I am developing only for iOS at the moment.

I just updated the game with the option to use spacebar instead of enter to start the game, as suggested by "Yeti" in his official review... by the way: thanks!
Also, I added a small changelog to the first post, so that people see what are the differences between the original and the updated versions.

hey, thanks for that update, I was having difficulties playing before, but now I am not :D
My only feature request would be a leaderboard showing the powers I was using for each run. It does seem like there are some impossible power builds in there, I don't know if having a bonus for those might be nice? Maybe not though, worth keeping it simple probably.

Good idea! But I don't want to update the game with "big" features at the moment.
The iOS version will have lots of balance changes.

The game is out on the App Store now!
Some spells have been re-balanced and others have been re-worked. There's also a new game mode.
-
Love what you did with the new version, especially the new game mode!
I could be really dense, so apologies in advance, but are there Game Center scores anywhere (yet)? I couldn't find any highscore table.

There are leaderboards, but you have to go to the game center app. I don't like to put game center button inside my games... maybe I should?

I'd prefer that, personally. I never access the Game Center app directly. I think most games include some way to access the scores in game -- less cumbersome than having to jump out of the app.

I will try to add some in-game leaderboard... I just need to find some time to do it.
