A roguelike game written for the Ludum Dare 48h jam. It's a fairly classical roguelike, but with animated graphics, something that I was trying to make (and failing) for some time. Joanna Piechowiak composed music for this game, it will be included in the post-compo version.
Here's hoping for continued development! 8)

Added Bats, Tengus, Tanukis, Kappas, Ghosts and Shadows
Translated Onigiri, Bento and Katana to English
Replaced Chain with Knife, replaced Naginata with Hoe
Tanukis pretend to be items or objects
Bats always move randomly and never sleep
Different levels now contain different monsters
More consistent color palette

Guaranteed food on every level
Hunger is not as deadly now
